Kansas City beats Man U while being a man down. Granted it was a very different United roster, but it's still pretty impressive.

Pre-season friendlies are totally meaningless.:dozey:

So are international friendlies...................... :smug:

Also agreed...

They would be better, and maybee some teams may play better if they did not change 11 players thoughout the game as well

Manchester City Welcome another World Class... player to gods chosen team

Aleksandar Kolarov

So whom are you going to get rid of to comply with the new rules?

They're not allowed to do that any more, at least. I think the maximum is now six substitutions in a friendly.;)

However, that still doesn't change the way players approach friendlies.:dozey:

^^

whats the new rule?

Max of 25 players with 4 (or 6) "homegrown" players

^^

arsenal are in trouble!!

Same goes for most teams in the Prem.........................

Not really, Arsenal have played to the rules of "homegrown" players, they signed players when they were young and have developed them

HOUSTON

Houston’s Reliant Stadium has sold out for tonight’s 2010 AT&T MLS All-Star Game featuring the best of Major League Soccer against Manchester United (7:30 p.m. CT; TV: ESPN2, Galavision; SportsTalk 790, ESPN Deportes Radio). More than 70,000 fans are expected to attend the game in Houston. The sell-out crowd will be among the highest attendance for an All-Star Game in a major U.S. sport.

Tickets for the game were purchased from 41 states and five countries.

Fans attending the game in Houston are urged to arrive at the stadium early to avoid traffic and long lines. Soccer Celebration, an interactive fan zone featuring live entertainment, autograph sessions by players, sponsor booths and giveaways, opens at 3 p.m. CT in Lot 18, just outside of the stadium.

With parking lots expected to fill up quickly, fans are advised to take MetroRail, if possible, to the match. The blue, red, and green parking lots at Reliant Stadium will open at 3 p.m., with all other lots following at 4 p.m. Soccer Celebration, featuring pre-game activities for fans of all ages, will also start at 3 p.m.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. A full timeline of events and list of regulations is available at http://www.houstondynamo.com/allstargamedayinfo.

True. At least they bother to try to develop young players, unlike Chelski.

It was crazy getting out from there.

Fantastic pics there Angie! Thank god we made it out of there alive, the train home was ridiculous!!!

Thanks for hanging out with us!!! I still can't believe how random that was that we got on the same train, lol!! Fantastic game though. Did you hear it was a record-breaking attendance for a footie game in the States?!

BTW, did you get off at the wrong stop?! The stupid announcer was one stop off of where it actually was, and I saw you get off and said 'bye' but not sure if you heard me since I was crammed into the corner, ha!
