I am exhausted and will have to get up in about five hours, but I just wanted to share some random tidbits: Chris Martin really enunciated the "x" in "fox" in "Violet Hill." "The Scientist" brought me to tears, since it was the first time I heard it live since we've been married (I walked down the aisle to it). The acoustic version of "Yellow" was amazing. For those of you going to the show tomorrow, they will be going up to colonnade 5 to perform this part. CM seemed to get a kick out of everyone singing along to "Violet Hill," b/c after the song (the second one on the set list), he said, "I can tell this is going to be a great show." The official program ($20) contains lyrics to all songs in Viva La Vida! All hotdog carts in the parking lot are not created equal. Viva la Coldplay!!! And when he sneezed during one of the songs. And it was so freaking hot in the arena that Chris mentioned it and everyone laughed. He and Johnny took off their jackets soon after. What about Lovers in Japan? Did he actually play the piano or did he start to play then dance around? Was the music already playing before they picked up their guitars on Life in Technicolor? And I'm really interested in Yes (did they pipe in strings for the bridge, or did they they improvise that part?). givelovesolong Posted July 15, 2008 Share Posted July 15, 2008 Mooseaka, where you at the concert? From what I've seen, from all the free gigs, the keyboard at the beginning of 'LIJ' is pre-recorded. Not too sure about 'Yes', although I have noticed that the intro to 'LiT' starts before they pick up their guitars, but I don't know if the string sections (strumming of the guitars etc.) starts before then too. Mimixxx, I know! The wait is going to be painful, especially with a 5 month or so wait for yourself. I'll be celebrating the day that COLDPLAY actually release Australian tour dates. As a huge U2-Fan i can say i like the new album very much and i can't wait to see them in september in cologne,they are realy a great band! I hope it pops up somewhere over the life of the tour; it most definitely deserves a play or two. He's moving about the stage, even takes himself off down the catwalk without being pushed by Chris.
