ricardo
Gorillaz are bigger than The Beatles; the beatles were big back in 60's only. Besides, Paul and Ringo are just some worthless, feeble and decrepit old men.
Guest howyousawtheworld
In Rainbows would've kicked CP's ass if they hadn't sold it like "Pay whatever you want for In Rainbows". You go stick your CP pride up your ass. I'm a woman, older than you. I guess my obsession with men is well.. NORMAL. Hihi. Deluded comment of the week right here. On another note - delighted Gorillaz have been given the headline slot.

EmmaLouiseSmyth
Lol at some of the comments in this thread. Anyways Gorillaz will be so awesome, such a great choice. I'm happy coldplay or dizzie rascal aren't doing it. Coldplay wouldn't be ready, they'd just be doing old material and dizzie rascal  i'm not a fan tbh. :laugh4:

As one columnist said the thought of U2 playing The Unforgettable Fire as the sun set over Somerset will have to wait for the time being.

Crests
The problem here seems to be not so much a clash in opinions but more that some people are trying to push their opinions onto the others. That's all I have to contribute. :escaping:
a_face_of_light
^ nice nickname :laugh3: contradicts your point of view.. im just TIRED of stupid haters in this foum! :) and coldplay nowadays are by far more big than u2... Fans in facebook, twitter, album sales( 8 vs 3 million in the last of each other) are just exaples of that.. The only band that sells that quantity nowadys is Coldplay Quantity doesn't mean quality though.Coldplay don't write quality music. I've never been particularly into U2 but wish Bono a quick recovery and hope they get back to touring as soon as they can.

I'm speechless.

Destrokk
Since everybody cool beaned my post. 1.If we don't get along with our music taste, it's not the end of the world. 2. Okay, I'm not the boss here, infact I'm sort of a newbie, theres no problem with you not talking about Coldplay, or not liking them. But being in a fan forum, and saying bad things about them is a waste of your time. You join a Coldplay fan forum, you've gotta expect Coldplay fans. And when theres fans, there are fangirls. So just live with it.
MrMagpie
But still, Coldplay do not have to be your favourite band in the world to post on here which is what a bunch of people don't seem to have the brain capacity to comprehend.

Exactly, If they were, that would be the fastest way for me to not like them. They'd get burned out easily, I would need variety. Just, it isn't necessary to say bad things about them. As such people do here. Or, maybe we can, just not in the Coldplay forum. Some newbie fans might get confused or something.

How many people say bad things about them? Not many. Some people believe Coldplay has taken a turn for the worse, and I don't see anything wrong with stating that. You can still be a fan and not like the direction a band is going. To say you approve of something when you don't is disingenuous.
