Letter from Phil Harvey: Dear Coldplaying...

Featured Replies

I know it won't be answered publicly (just like Carrie's, great question though :laugh3:) but I asked why the boat party finished two hours (or more) earlier than we were told and asked to plan for, and if there was perhaps some anticipation that we would go along after the boat to see the filming of the video.

I said that if it was due to that then it was unfair, because they gave us the very strong impression on the boat that any fans going to the filming was unwelcome, and so a lot of us respected what seemed like their wishes and didn't even think about it.

I also said that if it was not then it was a poor show (and I'll always stand by that - at least twenty of the boat people, really hardcore fans, have said the same or much stronger in private, like it or not).

Beyond that I said some other stuff that is private, but of course 'merry Christmas' and 'thanks so much for what you gave us' and for the song and video :)

That's actually a good point. I got the impression from the producers also they didn't want us near the stage for the Coldplay filming so I decided to go back to the pub with fellow Coldplayers where we all met up to round the evening off nicely before heading home.

I'm not the type to make a nuisance of myself to the band and invade their privacy so I respected their wishes and didn't visit it. I understand people who did waiting 3 hours plus in any case to see them - which was after my last train home (like Cinderalla, I need to be back home before midnight :) )

Phil is so kind! really!! and ... great job guys .. the boat in the video looks amazing!!! :)

Well, now I REALLY hope my question is answered, based on people's reaction to it! :awesome: I think a lot of people really do want to know why (including Roadie #44).

shameless plug ftw

So, does anybody know when we can expect their answers to be posted? No rush or anything, I'm just curious.

Phil and I didn't bother either, as it was far too cold, too much of a long-shot, we were both "game over" after being up since 4am and travelling all day, and had to get a train back to the outskirts of London too.

We were rewarded at The Beehive on Friday anyway, and were in a far better state to make the most of the experience!:D

I guess it probably depends on whether or not they are all stuck in bed with a nasty cold because of the shooting of the video in the cold until 3 am....!!!

Update on the whereabouts of the answers from the lovely Debs:

'Yeah I have sent the questions to the guys and Matt's are back so we're just waiting for Miller & Phil but of course with the gigs coming up and all the other stuff that's been going on, it's a busy time but they're coming soon!'

Cheers,

Lucy

interesting thought! They might....

Someone's impatient, eh?

I'm sure they wouldn't just forget it after they've offered it. :)
