Featured Replies

No U2 cover, no Jay Z appearance, no new songs, no big speech...

How was it special then?

Basically, this.

A swell job, Coldplay! A wonderful performance, indeed. I think I died when they played "Shiver".

I was expecting something more. Don't think we will especially remember this night just because they played Shiver and Everything's Not Lost...

Um, I think the most important part was hearing people on

"Maybe I'm in the black, maybe I'm on my knees, maybe I'm in the gap between the two trapeze!"

That was crazy!

ETIAW is a hit!

To be honest guys, they chose the playlist that would please the majority which I don't have a problem with. Glasto is that type of festival.

Putting in more new songs wouldn't have gone down that well I think (maybe for us die hard Coldplay fans, but not for majority that want a more singalong festival).

Oh and U2 better than Coldplay? Not a chance. I switched over the minute Bono started singing Jerusalem.

I was glad to hear them put slight new spins on the classics. U2 cover, Jay-Z appearance were both too obvious.

They did what they did and it was great. This will be the only show I see in real time, till the arena tour so I loved it!

This would be such an incredible setlist IF Coldplay played in any part in the world BUT this is Glastonbury. People expect something more...

Coldplay could have achieved an historical show, but many others (Muse 2006 or Coldplay 2005 in fact) will be better forever.

Well, surprising set, old songs all welcome but unfortunately the audience didn't follow on everything's not lost... Moving to mars would have been more than welcomed but still an amazing show from Coldplay who are really getting better and better!

Coldplay, THANK YOU! :D

Ugghhh I missed it! I had to pack all day anyway, but the BBC link didn't work for me. And Canada didn't have a station showing it on tv. :disappointed:

Ah well, I suppose I'll have to wait for the youtube vids.

The beginning was awesome, the ending was awesome. The slight middlepart however was a bit blah. Partly because of the audience and the technical problems.

Overall I thought it was an amazing show though =D

mx it's not a song, maybe the LP5 name, who knows.

Thx for a great great concert :).

BRILLIANT.! ! ! !

Thank you Coldplay.

Loved that they didnt cover u2.I was sure they were going to.

To be honest guys, they chose the playlist that would please the majority which I don't have a problem with. Glasto is that type of festival.

I think U2 was very obviously better than Coldplay in this particular show. U2 were at the top of their game, Coldplay...wasn't.

I was expecting something more. Don't think we will especially remember this night just because they played Shiver and Everything's Not Lost...

Yea I was also expecting something more, still great they played Shiver though. I was also hoping for Moving To Mars or another song.

So I TOTALLY screwed up, I just got on my computer at around 5:30 US time, and I read somewhere that the concert would be on at 9pm, so I kept on thinking that was my time. I log onto veetle and as soon as it gets started, the band is taking their bows and they walk of stage :( I feel like crying right now, does anyone know where I can find the whole concert recorded online right now, or if someone online is replaying it? I truly can't believe I missed out on this. Thanks.
