I'm suprised of how well they performed God Put a Smile Upon Your Face. Us against the world is sweet, will satisfy all those parachute lovers. BTW Buckland is finally doing a decent job. And now they're doing Politik.

OK Coldplay redeemed themselves; every teardrop is a meh song anyway.

That was a fantastic show. ETIAW wasn't as bad at the end of a great set but still the new songs were fantastic especially Major Minus.

They should play ETIAW sooner, that way the rest of the show is 100% enjoyable. It was nice I guess, not thrilled but it's always a good live act to see.

And the song everyone thought was called Cartoon Heart - is it really actually called Charlie Brown?

I really hate "Major Minus" and "Charlie Brown", but "Us Against the World" and "Hurts Like Heaven" are really great.

I liked the techno/dance verison they did on the VLV tour but it was great seeing it revert back to it's natural form and it was better than it's ever been I thought!

I don't get the love for "Hurts Like Heaven". I just don't.

 

"Us Against the World", on the other hand, is the type of music that Coldplay is good at and should be writing. I hope it's not the only acoustic track on the album. And I hope Will sings on the album too. Beautiful.

 

"Charlie Brown" is catchy as hell and gives me LiTii vibes. As I've said in other threads, the song is blatant pop but it's pop done RIGHT.

 

I'll have to listen to "Major Minus" again, but it struck me as an inferior version of CoL at first.

The Viva tour just wasn't as good as the Twisted Logic Tour. However the tour for LP5 looks like it could be the best of the lot.

Looks better visually.
