Golly, the time for comparing Coldplay and Radiohead albums has started again! MX was definitely Kid A except Rihanna was on it.

Yeah I bet that opened your eyes. Listen to the songs closely, they might even have ripped them off. The chords are almost the same.

I don't really matter what kind of music they would make. It is just me to decide if I like it or not.

But I have some expectations....

01. A longer then 42/44 minutes record.

02. No instrumentals, or just one as an intro for the record.

03. No collaborations, exept the following: Bono, Richard Ashcroft or Noel Gallagher.

04. Strange instruments like they used on Viva La Vida.

05. Darker sound, No rainbow of music, Like MX was.

Am I expecting to much?

noel gallagher on the album? ...That would be awsome!

^ They'll probably never make an album longer than 45 minutes again, and for me that's good, less minutes, less mistakes.

Okay, True but I'd like to have one. Last part from the 2nd trilogie longer than 42 minutes? Like X&Y was for the 1st trilogy.

They're not gonna make another X&Y (as in album that's longer than 42 minutes). They hate themselves for making X&Y so long.

I Celebrate Every Coldplay Album.

Well after my ironic joke with their next LP6 (which you can find it here-> http://www.coldplaying.com/forum/showpost.php?p=5479509&postcount=898) I decided to write some stuff I have in my head about their next album and what I focus on when I think on their next new album (btw I can't wait for it).

I Celebrate Every Coldplay Album

Relying on the fact that for me it's impossible to imagine Coldplay would create an album like MX 4 albums after Parachutes, or even impossible to think that they would go further away and create comics as a way to expand the concept of their album, or even more impossible to think they would change the concept of live concerts with their "xylobands" --which I personally believe that it's the beginning of a change in the interaction between audience and performer. Was born from the feeling of gratitude of the band to it's audience, it's taking the audience to another level of participation on live concerts history by giving the audience another way to feel and understand the music with more than two senses-- I could keep writing and writing about their creations and give different approaches, but to keep it short... I can relax on my couch and be confident enough to celebrate next Coldplay creations whatever they are (quoting C.M, "I mean it in here but I don't in a court of law" ;) lol).

On the other hand, considering their albums and their "b-sides" creations like xylobands, comics or whatever they come up with next, I just want another Coldplay album, without any expectation or conditions, as long as they keep being Coldplay (as team), because every album is like a wave of fresh air for my mind, a whole new universe of things to discover, more new art. I also like to believe they're changing the way the 'music' is perceived in the world (trough the revolutionaries xylobands for example).

Also, that trust I have on Coldplay about their next album is easily achieved knowing Coldplay influence on the "world of ballads", and that is not only hearing their songs, but feeling in your ears and understanding in my consciousness of what they transmit from their studio, on stage and offstage, with their energy and actions, always improving, developing and helping the world of art with the aim of enriching and embellishing that world, inside this beautiful world. And what a better way to create a world with more love and harmony between it's people than trough music and different art expressions, and all you can transmit from there. With that, I celebrate every Coldplay album.

Note: This could be bad written, good written or you could even not agree with any of this, but I'm glad I can give my opinion and share it with so many people in this forum where most of us knows Coldplay is an example of teamwork and more. I hope you get my general thinking about next Coldplay album.

Where do Coldplay goes, not even Eno knows. :laugh3:

I agree with you! But i still have some expectations from them. I celebrate every coldplay album too. But if they go like Bieber. I won't celebrate the new album.

DOEN ANYONE KNOW IF ENO IS WORKING WITH THE BAND ON THE NEXT RECORD?

DOEN ANYONE KNOW IF ENO IS WORKING WITH THE BAND ON THE NEXT RECORD?

Don't know. Eno is a genius.

Even if they did an entire RnB album with guest appearances by Nicki Minaj Justin Beiber and Carly Rae Jepsen?

Ah...thanks! Been wanting a good excuse to throw up all day!

:laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:

I want a final album with Eno and Markus, they should try different people on LP7 though.

DOEN ANYONE KNOW IF ENO IS WORKING WITH THE BAND ON THE NEXT RECORD?

At the moment, as far as I know, the only one who is working on something is Chris.

On Viva, Yes.

On Mylo, No.

On LP6, I'd say bye Eno.

no, I think they should get rid of Dravs and Simpson.

Despite they're both really good producers, I don't think they need them

^ I really think Markus is essential in there (more than Eno)

waaat noooo :wreck:

I love Rik :wacky:

He's awesome :wacky:

He's got a cat and he totally loves her it's so cute :dazzled:

All I want is less over-production. MX is sooooooooooo much better live, especially Major Minus and Hurts Like Heaven.

*edit* oh, and more Will please.

noel gallagher on the album? ...That would be awsome!

No, it most certainly wouldn't.

Eno's Involvement in Making Mylo Xyloto and LP6

On Viva, Yes.

On Mylo, No.

On LP6, I'd say bye Eno.

Actually, Eno's involvement on Mylo Xyloto was very minimal compared to Viva la Vida. Perhaps if he had been more involved it would have been better?

Chances are he'll come back for LP6 and play a similar role as he did with MX. I'd prefer he be more involved to keep the boys in line, but we'll see what happens.

After MX, I feel a bit worried. Usually, when I am anticipating the next album, I can't wait to see which direction they'll go in next. This time, I fear that the music, the production, and the lyrics will remain similar to MX.

it is so much better live. and Major Minus reminds me of old coldplay :( and Will absolutely dominates! i want to see more of that in the album. i wanna see him go mental like on politik and GPASUYF live :D

very true. i think they should kick everyone out, keep Eno for a role simillar to viva and bring Ken Nelson in!

I agree with this. I thought Eno has the biggest influence on Mylo Xyloto.

Why do they have that much producers?

I think they should go in the direction of Lukas, Famous Old Painters, Up With The Birds, that We Found Love cover from Radio 1, next. That semi-acoustic stripped-back style really suits them and is still sunny and pop-sounding while being technical and clever like Viva era. The Prospekt's March EP was masterstroke, IMO.

^ I couldn't ask for anything better than that.
