I would also like to point out that the Oracle basically confirmed today that the Mylo Xyloto tour is coming to a close/is almost over, which means that work on LP6 will likely start early next year (if they don't take a break)! Hooray! :lol:

Q. G'day, Oracle!

Now that the Mylo Xyloto comics have gotten so much more attention since the release of the HLH music vid, are the boys planning on incorporating any of the characters/animations into their shows? On the large screens where the multi-colored running man is, for example.

No, they're not. It would be pretty pointless to start anything new given the MX tour is coming to a close. Those characters have been around longer than the record so if anything it would have made sense to have them from the beginning.

I would love another Coldplay album even if it is an acoustic one.

Especially if it's acoustic. I enjoy the fast songs on MX but acoustic Coldplay cannot be beat.

So do I. I'd love to hear a Coldplay which 100% as I have not heard much acoustic stuff from them yet.

I have this question that only you can answer

Do (Coldplay) ar taking a year off?

I hear this rumour in A Coldplay Fans page but im not sure. Anyway Coldplay is and it will be always be the best band ever

I'm not the only one who can answer that; nobody can answer that - not even the band.

Decisions are made and changed on a daily basis as to what happens next after a campaign is coming to an end.

The natural thing to do is to take some time off but that has never yet been a year.

The band may be out of sight to the public but that doesn't mean they aren't working in some way or another.

After the Viva tour, the band returned for a Latin American leg. They finished 11th March 2010. They performed a couple of Crisis at Christmas gigs later that year and then re-emerged for live shows in June 2011 while continuing with the writing & recording process.

Who knows how long it will take for the next album? It's not a time frame you should really try and quantify. They will return when they do and the album will be finished when it is. I can't really say anything more than that at this premature stage but I'm sure ( & hope) it will fly by - like last time?!

 

So the Mylo Xyloto tour is really coming to an end? Except maybe for a Latin-America leg. Bring it on LP6:)

It would be great if there was a Latin American leg on the MX Tour so that the fans in that part of the continent get to see them. Then bring on the new album.

I think what ever Coldplay choose to do next will be great.

Isn't that Mylo Xyloto?

I think lp6 will have that acoustic feel with some tunes that seem out of place but aren't. Maybe more lead piano riffs and guitar leads as well with loud chorus but the songs themself will be so simple there still acoustic based. I make no sense. :P

I like that. I think it would be great if there was a mixture of faster songs and acoustic songs of the new album. As there was with Mylo Xyloto. Of course it will be amazing how ever it happens.

LP5 refers to Mylo Xyloto their last album. LP6 refers to the album which procedes it and LP7 probably refers to as yet unreleased Greatest Hits album.

LP stands for long play. It is a music album that exceeds 20 minutes I believe. An E.P. stands for extended play, which is an album that is short er than 20 minutes. I may have the numbers mixed up.

I know of albums which are just over 30 minutes, so if there is a limit I suppose it's 30 minutes.

Even if they do make one, no one's forcing you to buy it. If you don't like greatest hits albums then just ignore it :rolleyes:

One year of Mx era has gone by. Oh my, this means LP6 is a little bit closer!
