I think Chris Martin should think a lot about the Dave Grohl speech. That "return to the basics" and "just play your instrument, without playback, autotune or computer stuff" thing.

If anything, the last performance proves he doesn't use autotune. No, really, I don't get the logic here.

And it's not because Foo Fighters won over Coldplay that it means Dave Grohl's speech was aimed at them.

Oh shit. Didn't actually mean to rate that 0. Paradise was baaaaad, but PoC wasn't bad. I'd say 5 or 6.

Many shared in the Martin bashing, including the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl. Grohl and his bandmates picked up an award for Best Rock Album, beating out Martin and Coldplay. While on stage, Grohl took a swipe at those using auto-tune (read: Martin).

While I agree that Chris was off last night(who wouldn't be when you are sick?) I cannot stand David Grohl and the bottom line is this: Exactly when did Chris use auto-tune last night? Mr. Grohl needs to shut his trap and just make music. His constant critisism of other artists is getting beyond old.

^No, Grohl never mentioned Chris. Journalists like to create fights when there isn't any. Grohl probably didn't mean Chris. It's the person who wrote that who is stupid! I agree with what Grohl said, as long as it's not aimed at Coldplay, because otherwise it would be unjustified and just wrong !

Dave Grohl probably said that auto-tune and playback stuff because of Chris Brown. Now, HE was awful!

Dave Grohl should shut up.

I was dissapointed because I thought Rhiannon and Coldplay were going to sing entire song. So very dissapointed they didnt and that Coldplay lost to Foo Fighters. Puhleeeeeze and I just dont understand. Entire show was strange

Dave Grohl should shut up.

Wasting Light is better than Mylo Xyloto in... Well... Everything.

I know he most likely didn't mean it about Chris directly, and I agree that the media is probaly just trying to start a "shitstorm" so to speak, but I still don't like David Grohl. He is a trash talker. And while the Foo Fighters make decent music, it doesn't give him a free pass to bitch about everyone, ya know? Auto-tune is horrible, and a lot of people are using it, but it doesn't mean he has to bitch about it EVERY TIME they win an award.

Indeed, I remember that speech, it could've been aimed at anyone...

Yes indeed, there's no mention at all to Chris or Coldplay. He just said that they didn't use any fancy equipment or computers to record their album. Nothing about auto tune or anything.

oops I made a mistake, I gave a 4 in the poll :P but it's referred to the part with Rihanna.

The performance of Paradise is a very good one, as usual. it's a 10!!!

It made me laugh how rihanna a minute before was dancing like a slut (sorry! :P) while with Chris she was so serious, trying to show that she is also able to act and sing like a professional singer, and than being breathless and out of tune  :laugh3:

I've preferred a short acoustic version than the entire song. I don't have a great respect for Rihanna as artist (and even as woman) I find her so vulgar and worthless!

She was trying very hard not to touch her body... So she ended up playing with her necklace :dozey:

OK I've just come home and watched it again and I still don't like either performance, although I preferred Paradise, mostly because all the band were there.. Chris had an excuse if he is sick, but what was Rihanna's?

As for the body language, IMHO it was awkward, and they looked like two separate people giving a separate performance.. not a duet at all.. no chemistry at all (thank god! LOL).

If I were to say something like "I hope ppl wash their hands after the 'loo", I'm not talking about anyone in particular, but if you were one of those ppl, you would take a second to think about it right?

Just because Coldplay wasn't directly mentioned doesn't mean they aren't in their minds thinking about it (at least I hope so). I'm fairly sure Grohl and the band are at least on talking terms (from that coldplay doc a year ago or so) so I hope Coldplay are thinking about it and tries to keep a head like Grohl's in terms of making music. I'm not gonna argue it by spewing out 'facts' but at least from what I hear, the music has lost a bit of feeling/soul and replaced it with something bigger than it is better.
