August 22, 201510 yr I started thinking more realistically about dates, and it makes more sense to have a single release closer to the festival so the excitement and newness doesn't die down. I feel this past Monday would have been too far from the festivals to release. That being said, I think (and this is purely speculation) that September 1st is another date to look at. Not only is it the first of the month, but it is also on a Tuesday, when singles are more likely to be released. It would be a great way to kick off a new month with two different performances as well. Like I said this is just speculation, so don't take this as fact. If this did happen, they could start teasing us next weekend. That's just my thoughts but I'm not expecting anything til the I Heart Radio gig. Its just fun speculating with you all while we wait for actual news ☺

The day something official happens the forums will explode lol Haha that gave me a good laugh. I feel bad cause I have been so busy and haven't played much in my spare time. I definitely want to get back into it very soon though. I actually have to re learn Violet Hill as embarrassing as that is [emoji15] haha. But I do plan on doing that as well as Speed Of Sound and hopefully For You.

The same strategy has worked in the past so there's no reason they won't do it again.

The same strategy has worked in the past so there's no reason they won't do it again. That's exactly my thinking. Even though the festivals are close, I feel it's still a bit early for a new song. The closer to the festivals we get, the higher the chances of a new song being released (obviously). It just feels right that they would release it within 2 to 3 weeks, 4 max, from the festival so it still feels new and fresh.

I've always liked the Foo Fighters (first band I ever listened to) so that's cool to see. Last year, fans in Dave Grohl's hometown campaigned for a concert and sure enough the band played there.

August 23, 201510 yr Am I the only one that doesn't feel like the band owes us anything in terms of updates? I mean, yeah, they're neat, but it's not like the band spent the months leading up to previous releases doing nothing but teasing. There is obviously nothing new to share right now, so they don't have anything new to post. The website reveal was a nice enough tease. I'm not sure what we're expecting. Chris can support whoever he wants too. Justin Bieber had a heap of famous people post in support of his album, and the last thing that post was trying to cater to was the community of Coldplay fans.
