I don't believe 1D are capable to win Coldplay in album sales. They are more popular and have a strong fandom, but still. Coldplay albums are always success in sales.

This. Pretty much my entire feeling about Coldplay and music in general. Ghost Stories topped 25+ country's charts! Great. It had maybe three good songs. What good does album sales and charts do if the music is decent at BEST? I can't listen to charts and figures, none of us can. Sure, we want Coldplay to succeed. But I also want artists/albums to succeed that DESERVE it. Hypothetically, if AHFoD sucks and it does well, it only encourages the band/Universal to keep putting out bad music.

So i want this album to be sold like a whore, to reach number one and to coldplay to reach the beatles, and you know what else? I want LP8 to reach number 1 to and Coldplay to beat a world wide record that hasnt be broken since the fucking 60s

I just want a good album. So many great albums never reached number one that I don't care anymore. That record thing would be pretty cool though.

Those are exactly my thoughts. There's a chain of people we know that goes all the way to the band. I happen to know the half-sister of an actor who a while ago co-starred in a movie with someone who knows Chris. So we are all connected somehow... it's mysterious.

A little late to this conversation, but I was thinking the same thing!! The Beatles are so legendary that for Coldplay to match/beat their record would be absolutely amazing!!!
