Colour Spectrum

Featured Replies

maybe at 1 minute 31 seconds into the song something big happens

Hopefully today's snippet will highlight that part!

I said this in the LP7 thread, but I believe this song was played as an intro to the TIDAL concert right before they played AHFOD.

^ I thought that too, maybe this will be a "reprise" of the album intro, like how O reprised the intro of Always In My Head

This was from the ColdplayZone.it article the last day:

Colour Spectrum : he tells of the importance of color in their lives

I presume "he tells" meaning he sings/speaks at some point

Good catch. There's still hope!

If one listens vv carefully, you can hear some voice near the end of the snippet.

Brian Eno doing his tricks AGAIN, very soundtrack-y mixed with old videogame sounds. Short song but interesting, instrumental.

You've listened to it?? Where can you find it?

Edit: Found it. Lol.

I'm thinking that this song is something that kind of guides the whole album and can kind of be placed anywhere and still make sense. Like how it worked so well at the beginning and end of AHFOD at the Tidal concert

Easily one of my favourite Coldplay instrumentals.:P

Reminds me so much of my holiday this year, if long enough this could be joint 1st place with Radiohead's Treefingers.

Is that Chris in the background doing these weird "huuuOOO" "HOOOOUUOUUUO" sounds that pan from stereo left to right?

I like this one a lot. I would have loved a long song with that atmosphere...

Chris Martin doesn't sing in Colour Spectrum. We here Obama again at one point. It's a good transition track though.

Yeah it's Chris and Beyoncé :dazzled::dazzled: I think it's my favorite singing moment lol

That is not Obama. That's the person that recites the poem. Obama is right at the last 15 seconds of Kaleidoscope.

And the one that features in CS is the poem guy again.

Oh thanks for clarifying!

I love this interlude! It picks up some of the themes and sounds from the songs before and creates a kind of summary before the finale starts with Up & Up. Clever! The intro from AHFOD, then the birds and Beyonce, the muffled woohoo's from AOAL, the spoken word part of Kaleidoscope...

I need to listen a couple of more times to find out whether there are any other quotes of the songs. At first I wondered whether they tried to put all of them in there.

Can anyone tell me what is being said on this track? Something about God maybe? It's just one line but I can't make it out and it's been bugging me.

Ah thats where he was hehe Thanks.

"Because each has been sent as a guide" . It repeats the ending of the poem in Kaleidoscope.

I like this short interlude, just as I like Kaleidoscope. Short and sweet and I love it.

oh too many interlude :(

but this song better than kaleidoscope
