Absolutely amazing find. Wish I could get the rest, as the live videos so far are quite promising. Keane has always ranked second behind Coldplay and they don't seem to be heading to disappoint me.

The song is okay. Better than anything on PS

It's certainly a better lead single than "Spiraling" was (which is one of their worst songs IMO), but at the same time, it's really safe and generic. Though after PS and Night Train, I'd say that's a better path to take than not. So I'll be quiet until I hear more songs.

It IS safe/generic, but I'd take this any day over Spiraling

Regarding MICC and PA , I don't think wikipedia is the best source of information ,and I don't recall ever hearing that Tom said in a concert that he wrote the song , he indeed sang it alone on stage ,but never heard that story.

Well, Tom said in Bexhill that Silenced by the night is going to be the first single worldwide. My favourites so far are Sea Fog, Black Rain, On the Road and Sovereign Light Café.

Goddammit. I had tickets to see Keane tonight on Kimmel and got turned away because they overbooked for the interview guest (Dr. Phil, ewwwwww). I've done Kimmel a bunch of times before and that's the first time I've ever been turned away at the door. Wasted 4 hours of my life for nothing. :(

I've only listened to 4 new songs and I like them all.

Black Rain and The Starting Line are my favourites, others I've listened to are Silenced By The Night and Sovereign Light Cafe and they're pretty good too.

 

So yeah, I really hope that this album will be good! :D

I don't really like Silenced By The Night, find it really boring. And I don't want to listen to live versions recorded by the audience before the studio version.

About the new single, I think it's not as moving as the first album and neither as energic as Perfect Symmetry, still a good track, glad they are back. Don't have high hopes for the album, but I will wait, the cover is nice at least.
