So, I just stumbled upon the very first A.I. generated Chris Martin vocals! Track: "Somewhere only we know" by Keane, but "performed" by Chris Martin. The implications of this are quite insane: Fans who prefer the 'old' Coldplay will be able to generate such songs in the near future. Perhaps this thread could serve as a log for all A.I. generated Coldplay content that will emerge in the future, or discussion thereof. Take care!

Now that collaborations are so common that even Coldplay has made one with Rihanna (with a totally beautiful result by the way), it's time to unleash your imagination: if you could choose, who would you like Coldplay to collaborate with? in my case I would pick David Guetta. This apparently freakish combo is just something that spontaneously came to my mind, maybe because both are among my favorite artists, both are becoming quite influential lately, and maybe their music styles could fit each other. Also, David Guetta is always collaborating with lots of artists, so why not with Coldplay? Something really epic could come out of that.

I'm quite surprised to see that there is no open topic on this anniversary so I'm starting the topic. 20 years... Time flies. I don't know why but I feel a lot of melancholy about this anniversary, probably because the MOTS tour is the confirmation that the band is on a very different trajectory, definitely. To be honest I'm torn between the feeling of sadness because I still find it difficult to accept that the band has become an industrial pop machine and therefore the quality of the songs is no longer the central element of the band (instead the show). I’ve seen a couple of posts from recent tour dates where groups of fans have met the band, I can’t say for certain but from the posts it sounds like the fans were picked out at the gigs rather than having meet & greet tickets. So, just wondering if that is the case and how it works? Not because I’m hoping one day it’ll happen to me (but of course that’d be amazing) but more just because I’m genuinely curious.

Recently bought a Coldplay Safety E.P. Have scavenged the earth for this and I paid a pretty hefty price! I did a ton of research on real vs. fake (referenced pictures and things to look for on discogs, EIL, this forum, etc..) and am currently in the process of finding an expert to authenticate/appraise it so I can keep it forever with peace of mind! One thing that puzzles me for many years, but I cry a lot when I listen to some Coldplay tracks. It happens of course when I see them on tour, but also when I sing songs on karaoke or listening with my headphones. I get really emotional and I don't understand why. I mean, it's sometimes the lyrics, sometimes the melody or the subjects. I'm 51, male, I listen from The Beatles to the Orb, from Atom tm to Prince, but I think it's the only group that gives me so much emotions. Am I the only one ?
