It may be crazy to some people, but there is something undeniable to me about HLH. I'm a huge fan of the MX era, with the diversity of songs, etc. I'm mostly posting this because I wanted to see if anyone else loved the song as much as I did - I haven't kept up with the forum since the album dropped because no new music and a lot of hate after it came out.

How long is the song MX? Is it just the little intro?

So, I got my CD...and I ripped it on itunes...and I noticed the most horrible sight.. It said that Mylo Xyloto, the first track...is 0:43 long!!! Of course, I've always been a big fan of them playing around with the number 42 (their song, one of their rules on the wall, and the fact that they took it from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy). I know its a tiny thing...but at the same time, I've always read that its 42 seconds long.. Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me?

So the other day I turned on the local Alternative station and Hurts Like Heaven was on! I was excited because I love the song and had never heard it before on the radio. A few hours later, MX started playing and it went in to HLH! I was surprised because I didn't think the radio would have played MX as an intro. So does this mean MX/HLH is going to be a single? And will MX be attached? Has anyone else heard it on the radio?

Well now that it's out, let's discuss it! I think it's awesome, the double tracked vocals and spacey and distorted guitars are awesome! I'd give it a 9/10, on only one listen! What does everyone else think?

I know there was the 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall - EP', but I don't consider that a proper EP. Not when they released Prospekt's March back in '08. I mean there were so many songs left out of Mylo Xyloto! Do you think Coldplay will release a follow-up EP to answer all the questions people have about the album? The running man, the spirals, all the alien themes... I know about the original story and characters, but what if Coldplay decides to actually follow it up? Anyway, please don't be mad & sorry if the title got your hopes up!

I'm not hearing any bass save for some bass string-esque sound towards the end, unless my speakers have gone to shit. Johnny's playing the guitar, Chris the piano, Will (judging form the live performances) is playing the xylophone. Then what is Guy playing?

Can someone tell me how to post images on here. I want to post the single art (Which is legitly from Coldplay) but I don't know how!!!! the URL image insert does nothing!!!!

:thinking: I have one idea of possible explanation for interviews saying it to be likely single and then others saying to maybe scrap it from MX: I think they will ,as they said , not release it on MX :stunned:, tease us of an EP this year, and they could probably release it near February - March 2012. HLH would not be on the album, as Billboard magazine said, but it would be on the EP :dance:, and be a single, as Q magazine said (It could be released in similar ways to Life In Technicolor ii). There would be an MX single on April :lol:and The HLH single could be released in June :D, and it would end up being the anthem to open the Olympic Games on London 2012 in July…

Has anyone or can anyone made any artwork of hurts like heaven? I want artwork for every song. Like in the pop up book.:smug:

Did you guys notice that Hurts Like Heaven sounds so simillar to the "You thought you migh be a ghost" part in 42? Still I won't let go, still I won't let go = You didn't get to heaven but you made it close, you didn't to heaven but you made it close. etc

Hey everyone. Since I love to draw symbols on my clothes I usually just use Coldplay-symbols. I know the symbol for Hurts Like Heaven is like a circle you know? Are there any link of a good picture of a symbol like this? Thank you everyone who helps me! :) I browse a picture of it from Coldplay.

Anyone else notice that in the last 5 seconds of the intro song, you can hear the words "Mylo" then about a 2 second pause, then "Xyloto", just before cutting into HLH? I never noticed it while listening on the computer, but through my ipod headphones it was very clear.
