March 11, 200917 yr great band. one of my favorites right behind Beatles, Radiohead, and Beck. favorite albums change all the time. I think though that DSOTM is their best work, and the peak of their creativity. I wasn't around when it came out but from my dad it was a land-mark album so i pick it as their best album. However I have favorite albums by them. My top would be DSOTM, Meddle, The Wall, Animals, and Atom Heart Mother (one of the most underrated/underappreciated albums ever)
March 12, 200917 yr The Dark Side of the Moon was like one of the best. it's also my dad's favorite! wish you were here was also great 2!! :D
March 12, 200917 yr The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall are my personal favorites. My dad always plays their songs from their albums everyday and it's just soo awesome!! Wish You Were Here is also great :D

March 12, 200917 yr nothing but a quadruple post does justice to this legendary band. I've only heard the albums post-Meddle. and every single one of the them is incredible. nothing beats a good 24min track like Echoes haha.

You should check out Atom Heart Mother though... really good, especially the title track which is like echoes in that it's really a long song, like 20 something minutes
March 12, 200917 yr haha sorry. i posted it once but the thing wasn't responding so i kept pressing the button like 4 times..lol
March 12, 200917 yr It's sort of both, actually. Parts of it I really, really like, but at the same time I think its too often overrated. It's definitely worth seeing though, then you can judge for yourself.
March 13, 200917 yr Has anyone seen the movie for The Wall? is it good? disgusting? i saw it. it's a bit weird and also quite depressing. I was i guess sort of expecting a lot and became disappointed. That was like 2 years ago though. I'd like to see it again, I think I'd have a greater appreciation for it now (especially after seeing more Kubrick Films)
March 13, 200917 yr It was a Kubrick production?? no, but to me it was kind of a strange film (like A Clockwork Orange).
May 5, 200917 yr Pink Floyd? Hey, just wondering what you all's feelings are on Pink Floyd here. Some Coldplay fans over here in Virginia don't like Pink Floyd at all and most Pink Floyd fans I know don't even listen to/know what Coldplay is. What do you all think?
May 6, 200917 yr No worries. There is a band index to look for threads for bands. Some links don't work, and some artists aren't there. If thats the case just let me know. And welcome to the forum!
May 6, 200917 yr I am a Pink Floyd fan since I was ten ot twelve. My favorite albums are "Dark Side .." (I love Brain Damage) and the not so popular soundtrack "More", a mainly instrumental album. And, of course,"The Wall" is a masterpiece on its own.
May 6, 200917 yr I've always liked Pink Floyd. When I was just a little kid my dad would play Animals in the car when I was on the way to school. They tie with Coldplay for my number one favorite band.
May 6, 200917 yr Pink Floyd is an amazing band. Dark Side of the Moon, The Wall, Animals, all classic albums. A Momentary Lapse of Reason and Wish You Were Here are two more of my favorites. Great band.
