Love John Mayer. I've been a fan for like, 3 years or so now. I have his new cd, but I haven't really heard it yet.

I like John's stuff, but one of my friends who loves him as well listened to it and she thinks it sounds like elevator music. =P

I like his new stuff, especially "TRY!". That was a great live album; I'm so glad he changed his style/sound.

Ah, my friend is so crazy about John Mayer! That's her new thing for awhile now. She saw him when he came here to T.O last week for a free concert downtown for some opening of Best Buy :P

 

I'm not a fan persay, but I have found that Waiting on the World to Change is not bad ;)

yeah, I went to that free concert too. It was about an hour, pretty decent for a free one. Beyonce only played 30 mins the night before.

music is generally good, but I cant really stomach his lazy slurred singing

i agree with 2732 in regards to the guitarists names he will be mentioned with. he is the only true genius of songwriting in his genre og music. he can play lots of them. i love the guy, him and Coldplay are really the only two "modern day " bands i truly love. and will be mentioned with the greats at the end of their careers.

Yep. He's already good friends with Eric Clapton and BB King, and he's got the guitar skills of both of those legends. He's one of the most talented and original guitarists not only of our time, but of all time.
