COLDPLAY could release a new album as early as next year, it’s been claimed.

 

Speaking in the US, the band’s manager Dave Holmes said that the band will tour North America again in February 2006, and there may be an album too.

 

He told Billboard: "They're definitely hungry to get back in the studio to make another record; they've got a lot of material. So for next year we're looking at building a tour around their recording schedule. Ultimately it could potentially mean we end up releasing another record [next year] and continuing to tour well into '07."

 

Coldplay are strongly rumoured to be returning to the UK in December for a tour.

I hope they'll return to the kind of music of A Rush Of Blood To The Head, let the piano return, cause X&Y was below my expectations (with other words: It sucks)

This is going to be bullshit. Coldplay are whores for talking shit about their ambitious plans and never delivering. They made hundreds of promises for X&Y and simply didnt deliver.

X&Y has seemed to be a disappointment. Another album would, if done right, help EMI quite a bit. So the record label is going to promote it. Together with X&Y, the combined sales mey just outsel AROBTTH after all. And anyway, albums done in a short period of time always turn out to be better that the much-anticipated ones.

Nah and they said before that X&Y will definitely be the last album....

The new album is so soon I think they should wait till the end of the year and that would be a normal term between two albums. If they'll release a new one next year it'll take time until they are ready with the fifth so we have to wait then years between the forth and fifth.

They should come to germany in 2006 with or without new album...doesn't matter...
