June 2, 200818 yr It was NOT that bad! Come on, wouldn't you be nervous if you were him? If you're expecting 100% note for note perfection, then you might as well just listen to the album for the rest of your life because it's never going to be perfect. I thought it was a great comeback performance for the guys. They're simply out of practice playing front of people, and they'll get better. I don't think Chris is in the back crying his eyes out or beating himself up. I think they're going to go "Okay, first performance. Now we know what we need to do to make it work better." Everyone just calm down, geez!

June 2, 200818 yr Ok yeah it wasn't their best performance, but seeing them back was pretty exciting. Chris was definitely nervous and I don't know what the others were doing with their instruments, and the actual music was much quieter than Chris, so a very nervous Chris dominated the thing. Not a good idea, and yeah Violet Hill should have been played instead. But still they are Coldplay!
June 2, 200818 yr Yeah, he's blatantly nervous but it's not as bad as some of you guys made out at all. Bits of it really don't sound like him, but musicallly it really worked as a "We're back!" moment and the crowd seemed to like it.

June 2, 200818 yr The second time watching was much better...Will was banging the hell out of that bell and Jonny was rocking out...not much Guy time though.... ...even if Coldplay thinks it sucked everyone else will think it was great.. And LET'S REMEMBER SOMETHING IMPORTANT.... Most of the world has never heard this song before....they had no idea what it was supposed to sound like

I think that they still did a great job with the song. I consider this performance almost something to get their "feet wet" and get the band more used to playing live... so overall a really good performance! :)
