Whether or not the two songs are similar enough to warrant a case is beside the point, the case has been filed, it's happening.

Either sue the band quietly or stop pretending that you're some poor hard done by artist who just wants some credit and admit that this case is doing you the world of good financially and publicity wise!

Obviously it is, but my question is why? Do older rock stars get insecure when they're out of the spotlight, as only music aficionados familiar with their genre will quickly recall their contributions. That's not to say Joe isn't great, but so are 1000's of others who influence rock music today. I think they just want attention - some type of tribute to their creative efforts, or what they perceive as their contributions, however the process of ideas and sound combinations make their way around the globe. What gets me is how they always zero in on the top acts. You'll never hear of them suing some virtually unknown new band, eh?;) What ever happened to that older Dutch singer residing in Italy who wanted recognition for Clocks??:laugh3: (and believe me, there's absolutely no connection there whatsoever!) ^^^Coldplay can't take the notice because they haven't been in the country since the lawsuit was filed. If he had filed the lawsuit earlier then they would have been served with the papers. But, since they haven't been here there is no way for this dickhead's lawyers to hand them the papers. Lawyers can only serve papers in their native country. I'm sure Coldplay would have taken the papers if that's dickhead's lawyers handed them to them since they are professional and mature men unlike Joe "The Dickhead" Satarini.
