And there was absolutely no reason to go to the media with any of the details of this. They didn't need to tell the media about their plans to serve. But they wanted to so they could milk the publicity. If it was just about finding them and serving them they would have just done it quietly, no media hype. Will, Guy and Jonny have been in the Bakery everyday for the past few weeks - that's public knowledge, and Chris has been on live radio several time in the last few weeks - all pre-advertised. If I know where they've been and when then I don't believe that the lawyers couldn't find them! Hell, it's not exactly difficult to find out exactly where they live and sit outside their door. They just didn't try so they could wait and turn it into a dramatic story. Loser!

Joe Satriani is of yesterday, and I feel that he is attempting to get a newborn fame, and lots of money from a super successful band. I think it will be very immature for Satriani and his lawyers to interrupt the Grammy Awards with this piece of crap. I agree, this seems like a sick stunt just to get his name into the limelight. I bet hits of songs, especially If I Could Fly, have skyrocketed because of this!

I've heard songs before that sound the same for like 10 seconds and they still come out different. There's TONS of songs with that same chord progression. It's not unique and Satriani was certainly not the first to use it.

February 6, 200917 yr It's obvious that his lawyer does not know s**t. The only Grammy that Joe could get, if the courts rule in his favor, would be Song of the Year. Song of the Year is awarded to the songwriters, and he would have to be given credit if the courts agree that the band "copied" his crappy song. However, Album and Record of the Year goes to the performer, producer, engineer, and/or mixer. He would not get a damn thing if they won those or any other category. The only thing this guy needs is a good ass kicking.

February 6, 200917 yr I can´t imagine any judge in their right mind deciding that VLV is Joe´s song, unless he/she is deaf of course. A few similar notes HARDLY means that it is the same song. Joe just wants some attention, poor...boo boo. Give it a few months and this thing will be all forgotten and VLV credits will NOT be altered.
