A Rush of Blood to the Head to feature on Royal Mail stamps

That's really cool, how creative of the British post. I wish the US would have cool stamps like that.

Some years ago US MAIL issued a series of stamps with famous musicians - ELVIS, Hank Williams, Richie Valens (don't know him), Bill Haley, Buddy Holly, LOUIS ARMSTRONG, GLENN MILLER, BENNY GOODMAN, COUNT BASIE as well as Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey.

Marian Anderson and Ella Fitzgerald are on stamps in a series called BLACK HERITAGE. - US MAIL has issued stamps of famous musicians, but not yet of album covers to my knowledge.

Not so long ago ROYAL MAIL (UK) issued stamps with famous BEATLES covers - The Beatles, ABBEY ROAD, Revolver, LET IT BE, With the Beatles and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. I guess that these stamps were quickly sold out (not sure, just a guess).

I have all these stamps and - as you have already guessed - I'll also buy the set of 10 stamps with various album covers including one of the BEST albums EVER - A Rush of Blood to the Head! :)

I want a postcard from far away with an AROBTTH stamp on it! :D:D:D:dance:

would it be greedy of me to ask some lurvely coldplayer to send me a set of new stamps...? I'd pay, of course! :uhoh: yes? too greedy? OK, a cancelled stamp on a letter will do, then, thanks! :D xo btw, thanks to those of you who've offered to do something! :nice:

That is freaking awesome! :o

I'll be happy to send out letters to those who want them :nice:

I can see a project developing out of this, and just cpers buying up all the stamps. Maybe we can find forums for the artists of the other 9 stamps to trade!:P(I'm assuming you have to buy the book of 10, not just the one stamp you want, right?)

:stunned: this is so cool!! I collect stamps :bomb: i wiiiiish i could have this!! how can we get it ? :awesome:

This is assuming the Royal Mail hasn't ceased to exist by then, of course........................ :dozey:

omg this is so so cool! Just look at the other classic albums AROBOTH has been chosen with... just goes to show. :D I think that there should be some kind of Coldplaying project to send stamps to every non-british Coldplayer who wants them. I'd be happy to send some. :)

Awesome!

What could be better than an AROBTTH stamp?? :wacky:
