February 27, 201016 yr Dancing in the Dark and Don Quixote are too close for a self-proclaimed Bruce Springsteen fanatic like Chris not to have noticed so it must have been intentional. Or at least I hope it was.
February 27, 201016 yr I don't like that song  I think the intro sounds like Clocks with guitars :inquisitive:
February 27, 201016 yr I love it! It's so etheral and happy. :nice: You'll never be lonely again
February 27, 201016 yr Spanish Rain was on the list of songs written on the bakery wall, and in the new song last night a lyric is "I heard you never get wet in Spanish rain" Is this new song Spanish Rain?! :idea2:  Yes Marissa you have totally right!;)
February 27, 201016 yr Are you a joke or a funny?:inquisitive: Hahahhahahahaha. Fucking sick = amazing
February 27, 201016 yr I agree that this won't show up on the upcoming album. I'll bet it's just a fun little celebratory song they got together to cap off the Spanish-influenced Viva era. And I also agree, that's it's too close to Dancing in the Dark to formally appear without paying official homage to Bruce. Chris likes to act clueless, but I think he's clueless like a fox! Great song, though, and so much fun to be back in touch with the boys!
February 27, 201016 yr Yeah, great song, but didn't the band say they wouldn't be debuting any of the new album songs on the LA tour? So I'd say the odds of it being tour-exclusive are pretty good, even though I'd love to see a studio version someday even as a B-side or promo. Yes I would be quite satisfied with a b-side, even if it was just a live recording, like Ladder To The Sun. But I agree that it is probably exclusive to the LA shows.
February 27, 201016 yr I sincerely hope this is on the new album. :awesome: I LOVE THIS SONG.
February 27, 201016 yr :wacky: I freakin' LOVE this song and I want a recorded version like RIGHT NOW. :freak:
February 27, 201016 yr By the way, this song shows me they're serious about the new album not being as mainstream as VLV. It's much different, in a good way, of course. :wacky: EDIT: This song actually kind of reminds me of their AROBTTH days. Which makes me very, very happy.
February 27, 201016 yr I think he probably had parts of the song done (like the chorus :P) when they recorded the SBS. And since he said in a recent interview that he was inspired by Don Quixote at the moment, he combined the two. Love the song so much.
February 27, 201016 yr I would LOVE to hear a studio version of this, but I would have to agree that it probably won't get past the Latin America touring. :[ Either way, it's FANTASTIC and is definitely a sign of the change in their music that Eno talked about.
February 27, 201016 yr As others have said, I would love to hear a studio version of this song as well. It sounds beautiful...Coldplay just enchants me with any new song they perform. And they sounded great as always, beautiful voice and acoustics :)
February 27, 201016 yr OMMMMFFFFFFFFFFFFGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG But, i have to say that The Boss sang the song better
February 27, 201016 yr ^ Dancing in the Dark and Don Quixote are too close for a self-proclaimed Bruce Springsteen fanatic like Chris not to have noticed so it must have been intentional. Or at least I hope it was. Yeah me too. He cannot not have noticed the ressemblance. Yes I would be quite satisfied with a b-side, even if it was just a live recording, like Ladder To The Sun. But I agree that it is probably exclusive to the LA shows. Yeah I guess, but if Coldplay record a studio version of this song, it means that they're serious about it and media will find out about the ressemblance of it with Dancing In The Dark. The whole 'Coldplay are copycats' thing will start again. I have to say, they're not helping their case with this song. Even if it's good :D:P
February 27, 201016 yr Here it is...it's a 6 minute long recording with Chris's talking and rambling before, and please excuse the slightly bad quality, that's the best I could do...hope you can enjoy! And, you got it here first from QuestionsOfScience... http://www.mediafire.com/?2gdzhdemndm
