June 5, 201016 yr it's good if you don't have the b-sides. i didn't buy them because i have all them already. instead i bought the live songs off itunes
June 5, 201016 yr No i didn't have the b-side, not the worst buy then :nice: They had them all in the shop, i was thinking about getting that one but i love the bends more.
June 5, 201016 yr I only got the Pablo Honey collectors edition thing same here. the singles were too hard to get/find
June 5, 201016 yr I want to buy the 2 disc sets, but it bugs me that I already own 1 of the 2 discs per album. I would be very excited if I had neither.
June 5, 201016 yr Does anyone actually like Live At The Astoria? honestly i've only seen bits and pieces of it so i couldn't really say. you?
June 5, 201016 yr Does anyone actually like Live At The Astoria? It depends on how well you like Pablo Honey and The Bends because that's all it is. I like it ok, I guess. It's been awhile since I watched it.
June 5, 201016 yr I don't think it's that bad. It would be a lot better if they'd mixed the sound more like the 2008 Japan thing. It sounds far too clean or whatever. Just not right
June 11, 201016 yr I preordered Phil's solo album, to which I'll be getting will be a signed copy! there's only 150 of them on recordstore.co.uk
June 11, 201016 yr The Astoria show is okay. It just is like a cheap DVD though, not the best quality. Good setlist though. It is worth getting just for the Blow Out performance.
June 17, 201016 yr Ed is doing an interview with Adam Buxton tomorrow on the radio, and is looking for questions to be asked. Hopefully we can get some answers on the new album/bands progress. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/adamandjoe/2010/06/suggestions-for-space-tape-and.shtml#comments
June 18, 201016 yr ''Although her ex-husband is the Black Crowes' Chris Robinson and her current beau is Muse frontman Matthew Bellamy, Kate Hudson failed to seduce one notable musician: Radiohead's Thom Yorke.'' http://www.usmagazine.com/celebritynews/news/kate-hudson-rejected-by-radioheads-thom-yorke-2010176 The whole Muse copied Radiohead thing is taken to another level with this shocking news lol
June 18, 201016 yr I was wrong about the Ed interview showbeing today. It was recorded today but will be played Sunday (from what I've read). Someone did say that they had a small clip from this interview where Ed says how "They're in the heart of it now", "it's the best thing they've ever done", and "it's very different from In Rainbows". It seems to me at least that being in the heart of it is that they are getting a lot of recording done at the moment. I feel though that we still won't see a new album until 2011, though I hope this interview will clarify and possibly hint at a sooner release. It is very exciting to see him think it is the best stuff they've done and how the album is different from In Rainbows. I understand the secrecy with the band but I feel that it's a bit ridiculous to keep us so much in the dark after in the past always posting things. Though that snippit doesn't have too much extremely substantial information it's great to get.
June 18, 201016 yr That sounds great though. Especially excited about the new album being different from In Rainbows. I honestly don't care all that much for the actual release date. I'd rather wait longer for a better album. But 2011 sounds good to me. :nice: Still, more (or any, for that matter) communication would be great. :whip:
June 19, 201016 yr Oh brother, we're talking 2011 now? Next time my boss asks me to get a project done, I'm going to say "I'm on Radiohead time...I'll get to it when I get to it." I'm going to follow it up with "I'm an artist, I can't be rushed."
June 19, 201016 yr I support them. Whatever they do, it will be brilliant, and I would much rather let them finish off with an absolute masterpiece than anything less. (I say that because I'm sure it will be their last :()
June 19, 201016 yr "I'm tired of due dates. I find them so artificial and constraining. I would prefer a more organic process. I'm waiting for inspiration to hit me."
June 19, 201016 yr I support them. Whatever they do, it will be brilliant, and I would much rather let them finish off with an absolute masterpiece than anything less. (I say that because I'm sure it will be their last :() pretty much a perfect post
June 19, 201016 yr Good music and timeliness are not incompatible ideas. I am not against taking your time; I am against wasting time. Somehow, I doubt they are putting in a 40 hour week. Once these artist "make it," they become lazy. I think they hide behind the excuse of not wanting to rush their art. It's nothing but an excuse to me. You mean to tell me you can't come up with 10 songs in over 3 years?
