Are you seriously asking his opinion, or being ironic? Just curious, that's all.

He's being ironic if it's my guess, but I love sharing my favorite albums, so I don't mind obliging his request, whether it was genuine or not.

guys it just occurred to me what they're doing next. since i think the next record will be the end of a trilogy, they'll follow with another "concept" album. so silly costumes and all. aaand its gonna be 80s pop music scene.

the outfits will be something like this:

and the music will be along the lines of what pet shop boys were doing at the time

are you a prophet or what

He's probably being sarcastic and what happens in World of Music is one thing, but I don't see the need for someone as clearly intelligent as him to look down on anyone in a Coldplay-related section of the forum for their taste in music.

I wanted to see what albums Kingzilla considers as "rock" music because he definitely likes talking about it.

Lo and behold, the most famous pop group of all-time - aka The Beatles - dominates Kingzilla's list.

^ geez dude who gives a f*ck?

No I really don't think he cares whether or not you approve of his list.

Hahaha, at the time of the beatles, rock music was pop, hence the rolling stones, the who, and the beatles dominating the charts. But you know what? This is a thread that is about Coldplay's next album, so I won't bother trying to deal with an opinion that will be static no matter what I say.

i was until god decided i wasn't fit enough cuz i wanted to kill justin bieber

Oh we've clarified that he had a black and white take on rock music when he was categorising guitar music into rock and synth music into pop.

But as for this claim that his favourite band aren't even the genre he thinks they are... were the Beatles always a pop band? I could understand if he had Please Please Me or Help! on his list, but...

Abbey Road -Beatles

Revolver -Beatles

Sergeants Lonely Heart club band - Beatles

...by my reckoning that's three rock albums, two of them psychedelic, one of them a bit baroque.

In one of the replies of the oracle today:

''He has recently been recording with 2 new HD-28's (H= herringbone, which is a style of binding they previously used on pre-war made D-28's) that have been modified, and a couple of specially made 12 string versions of D-15 M's."

Is this a hint that they've actually began recording some things?:) Or am I getting over-excited?

^Maybe Hoppy meant during the recording of MX ?

Yeah thought crossed my mind too... :inquisitive:

I don't think it's too early for them to be recording stuff for LP6, remember they were trying something new out back in December 2011 so they could have recorded stuff since then.

Yeah, they could definitely be recording some stuff at the moment, i don't think it's too early either. I just think that since they're probably still at the beginning, I'm guessing Hoppy could have meant for MX. But yeah, chances are it's for LP6!

I want Coldplay to use exotic instruments and stuff. Remember that tour Chris gave of the bakery back during viva on 60 minutes? There was this weird thing Chris played for like 3 seconds. It was cool.

Speaking of weird instruments, I think it would be great if they used something cool like a Theremin or an Ondes Martenot. Also I think it would be cool if Jonny did something like this:

^ I cant even imagine what that would sound like with a coldplay spin on it.

I would love a Coldplay Indian music sound. Sitars kick ass, just saying.

LISTEN EVERYONE WE ALL KNOW WE WANT MORE PIANO SONGS

Actually, I believe we all want good songs. I could care less if they play with rocks and recorders, if it is a good song, I'll be happy.

He has recently been recording

MX was recorded before October 2011, Is that what you all call recently? IT IS FOR LP6 BABY'S :dazzled:
