Up in flames. I was expecting too much of it. It was a song with lots os potential, but the official version seems to me rather dull. :/

Chose Paradise over PoC, mostly because at the core, PoC isn't a bad song (not saying paradise is either, but it is worse).

POC= pile of crap

U.F.O. only because it's the shortest song. I don't really hate the song or anything. I enjoy all the songs including POC and Paradise which are among my favorites on the album among many other amazing tracks like Charlie Brown, Don't Let It Break Your Heart, Up With The Birds, and Hurts Like Heaven.

A Hopeful Transmission by far, it's just a shorter, worse version of Mylo Xyloto. But it's still just a great intro to DLIBYH.

I think it's a pretty close 3 way tie between POC, Paradise, and ETIAW. :blank:

Yes, they are better. I will GLADLY take 30 second of ambiance of many of the 4-minute songs on the album, thank you very much. :nice:

Chris already wrote this song once before. It's called Til Kingdom Come.

 

Very similar chord progression, acoustic song, even the same, "I don't know which way I'm going" lyric.

 

I'm liking the album more and more as I keep listening, and have not written a single critical Mylo Xyloto post until now, but come on...a 40 month wait for an MX-ified version of what's essentially an already existing song??

 

(Note: I absolutely would've voted for AHT (i.e. recycled MX), but do any of us realistically count MX, MMIX and AHT as full songs??)

Agreed. I don't feel anything from that song. And I specifically remember them saying they just "came up" with it last second. Right before a concert in July.

 

I'm sure many good songs were formed last second, but that shouldn't be one of them.
