EDIT:LIJ->VLV->LIT-> Everything ;)

The song that got me hooked to the band was Violet Hill after it's single release btw. I know, I was late. But I made up for it :P

Nothing wrong with that :). A fan's a fan, no matter how long their fandom. And that's a fine song to introduce yourself with. It was that song that told me, "You know, I like these guys' music, I really should start picking up their albums..."

Speed Of Sound in 2005.

I have no idea why I waited until MX to listen to all of their albums.

Before that I only knew and loved the singles. :shame:

Every teardrop is a waterfall got me interested. I heard them in SNL. Chris's jumping and "dancing" was cool and got me to dance(i cant dance)Then I saw the jimmy Fallon interview with Chris Martin and he seemed so nice but didn't talk much. During the interview, jimmy mentioned "fix you" so I youtubed that. ONE OF THE SADDEST BUT GREATEST SONGS I EVER HEARD!!! Then I was like OH CRAP WHO THE HELL IS COLDPLAY. So I heard yelllow(wasn't impressed. Didn't get it) then I heard shiver(that song is amazing) Then I stumbled onto POLITIK(which blew my mind) THAT SONG IS AMAZING. That one and DEATH AND ALL HIS FRIENDS.

P.S basically every teardrop got me interested I don't think I needed to tell you my whole life story :)

First song ever was Clocks and it was on Nickelodeon way back in 2002-5? Back then I didnt know much about music or even knew about Coldplay, I was 7 at the time. 6 years later I heard Viva and thats when I really knew about Coldplay and was amazed to find out they wrote Clocks :D

I heard Clocks around 2005, but I didn't really start listening to Coldplay until around 08.

Not sure. Yellow, Don't Panic or Trouble.

Aw.

His dancing makes me smile :). I get the feeling he truly believes in that whole, "Dance like no one is watching" business.

I love that interview. And they did the worm at the end, which was just fantastic.

"Fix You" will always have a place in my heart. Always.

First I can remember hearing was Viva la Vida, but the one that got me interested was Lost!.

Yellow.

I remember I was 6 years old and it came on the radio in the car and the radio announcer guy called it a mix between yodelling & throwing a cat.

I remember telling my mum Despite what I thought I really liked it so she baught me the cassette.

The day it got broken in my tape play was the worst day ever!

'Don't Panic'. I was 9, I think, when Parachutes was released. My dad bought it and we went for a long drive and listened to the whole thing. Good times :pleased:

I first heard of Coldplay when I heard Yellow, that was when I was at College, I was about 18 at the time, I was immediately attracted to them, but it took me until the Viva La Vida tour to see them for the first time, but I am seeing them for the second time this year at Emirates Stadium, they are my favorite band, and I will have a bit of a Take That moment whenever they decide to break up.

I don't really remember, but I think it was clocks, I remember this one played a lot here.

Viva La Vida when I was like 6 or 7.

It must've been yellow when it was released..I must have been in my high school by that time... Oh that seems like ages ago..

Talk. I'm sure I listened Clocks or Yellow before, but Talk was the first one that I knew it was by Coldplay

  • 3 weeks later...

Hummm it's hard to remember because my mum loves Coldplay and she listened them very loud at home or in the car so before of being so obsessed with them I've heard all them CDs without to know who they were xD [Coldplay are an exception in my music taste]

But I'm sure that the first Coldplay's song on my iPod was The Scientist...I heard it on youtube, was the soundtrack of a Daniel Faraday Video Tribute xD

Doesn't really count as a Coldplay song, but this was the first thing Coldplay-related that I ever heard.
