Morton is not a Mormon, you Morons (not meant as an insult here, just for rhyming purposes [emoji14])

My phone auto corrected it to Morons at first [emoji16]

Sorry to break topic, but....

In regards to the bottom picture, I can see all those themes listied on the right corresponding to a each Coldplay album/era starting with Parachutes at the bottom.....imagine if Coldplay had this idea in their heads all along since 1996....

HEY!!!! I JUST GOT AN IDEA ABOUT THE NEW POSTER!!!! :D :D :D

Dec 4 is what it says. 12/4. 12/4=3.

HL3 confirmed on Dec. 4 :D :D :D

I hate to go down this road since its slightly off topic, but the lads are around 37 years old now. Add 2 years of touring. Plus a break of 4-5 years.

In their low 40s, its hard to imagine them still doing their pop act that some of us are adverse to. Maybe they'll return to the downtempo style of LP1? I'm not ashamed to say I want Rush 'O Blood II.

That's a thought for another day, another thread.

Yeah. I'd expect to wait at least till 2020 or 2021 for LP8. They did say that this LP would finish off the end of an era - just the first of Coldplay's era's. We don't know what to expect in the future, but for right now it is very obvious that they're taking a long break after LP7 to officially end an era, and to start fresh with LP8 after around 5 or 6 years.

As for them not continuing their pop act, I agree. As you get older you get less and less into that stuff and fortunately the alt-rock Coldplay could make a comeback, which I'd love to see. I love their pop stuff too, but in my opinion they were much deeper back in the alt-rock days. Those albums had more questions, they had more insight into life than the most recent one. As much as I love MX (and it's still my favorite album) I've gotta give some credit to the older albums. They just seem more deep and rich. Not to say MX isn't deep and rich as well, because it definetely is, and it's also quite creative if you interpret it the right way. (I also like it because it's actually based off characters. You don't see that often.) I still rate it as my most favorite album because I like it's vibe the best... it's just so amazing! And the music... is just sobeautiful. However, I've gotta give alt-rock Coldplay it's credit; there are definetely advantages to it over Newplay. I'd love to see some more variety in this band. :)

I personally dont think Coldplay can really tell us anything we havent already figured out

We know that the poster is likely from the band

We know the December 4th date is likely an album release date

We know the symbol is likely an album art or symbolizes the era in some way (like the running man of MX or butterfly of Viva)

So as far as hidden meanings are concerned, we've cracked them already

I don't think the location of the posters is relevant either

But don't let my opinion stop y'all from continuing to look for these posters and analysing them!

Nope. You've overlooked a LOT...

-We still don't know the release date of the new single, or even how it sounds like

-We don't know the tracklisting.

-We don't know where Amazing Day will be on the album. It's all speculation.

ETC about the album.

-Also, we just still don't know how the artwork fits in with the album. Is it just an artwork? Or is it the actual album cover? What is it's meaning and how does it relate to the album? We've already still started speculation on it already and some people may have already figured it out, but still nothing has been confirmed yet.

Sorry to say but you obviously haven't looked very deep when writing that post.

fuck...7 is the new 42 innit?

It seems so. They do say 7 is the lucky number. :D

its the purple cat for me

if you look above the purple cat you'll see something that says "Private loss." Personally I'm here for that. :)

More posters found this time on Washington D.C. We are getting closer.

Woot!!!! :D :D :D This is so good! :D

Seems like just his opinion.Dont expect too much
That's what was said by a source for billboard magazine before it was deleted.

Oh yeah, sorry.... forgot about that already xD  im bad

How could I forget about all these things when they're so informative, true, and exciting??? :D

I believe the capital of Canada is Ontario' date=' not Toronto[/quote']

   This makes me LAUGH OUT LOUD as a Canadian,

The capital of Canada is Ottawa, not Ontario or Toronto. LOL!!!

Although Toronto perhaps is the most known city from Canada... I'd reccomend you look even if you're in Toronto. :D

I dont think anythings gonna happen tomorrow. Or anytime. My glass isnt half full nor half empty. Its simply empty' date=' and whatever happens will fill it so i cant lose no matter what[/quote']

HAHAHA  nice one!

I'm doing the same strategy as you, if you don't mind. (Actually, this is what I've been doing for the past month... nvm then :P)

Too bad it's only in capital cities' date=' apparently. My eyes are glued to subway posters now :)[/quote']

I honestly don't think that the "capital cities" theory is true. You'd think Coldplay would spread it to higher-population areas no matter if they're capital or not, right? So it can't just be in capital cities. There's probably undiscovered or overlooked posters in NY and LA at this point... maybe they're just spreading them to the country's capitals first. When you posted this comment it was likely that there weren't any posters outside of Washington or London. Now it's likely there's some in NY and LA, and possibly in Toronto and Ottawa too.

There's just not enough data points to confirm that the posters are only being hung up in capital cities at this point. It'd definetely make sense to spread them to other areas, too. I'm sure Coldplay wouldn't care abou them just being in capital cities; if they were smart and wanted to generate as much hype as possible they'd spread them all around to NY and LA as well, even though they aren't capital, since they are very high-population cities still. It just makes sense, that's all I wanted to say. :)

Unfortunately I live in a relatively small city so it's very likely I wouldn't get to see any posters in my area... there's an extremely tiny chance of it so it's not completely out of the question but for the most part, well, I'll have to count on you guys who do live in high-population areas. :) Coldplay probably don't even know what the name of this city is lol :D

But as time goes on, it certainly will be interesting to see if they do restrict the posters to capital cities of the countries... it wouldn't make sense to do that but I guess we'll just have to see if they are in fact dumb enough to do that.

There does seem to be a ton of posters just popping up everywhere all of a sudden though. There's definetely something coming this week or early next, I can feel it...

EDIT: I just realised, after I said "that's all I wanted to say. :)" in the first two paragraphs I go ahead and type 3 more lol xD

Next week' date=' all will be revealed. [emoji57'][emoji111]️
Is that a fact or an opinion?

Well it'd make sense for it to be a fact since they've been keeping us from most news for 11 months coming now, so they have to release something this week, it's just a given mostly. But still, nothing's confirmed, and Coldplay could decide to go ahead and not release anything (dumb move, they generated enough hype before the posters already, and I'd expect Coldplay to know what level of extra hype and expectations they have generated by putting these posters up now). But they can do whatever they want I guess... so it is just his opinion. But he's calling it. Or trying to, anyway.

"The last record was so depressing because it was about Chris' split from Gwyneth Paltrow," a source told Sky News. "But the new material is more upbeat with a pop feel."

"They have already finished eight tracks, which are all completely different."

Could this reflect Chris Martin's brief fling with actress Jennifer Lawrence?

-via Youth Health

It does say they have a pop feel (if that's the case it better be MX-style pop feel)... all completely different tracks? Yes fucking please. I'd love to have a varied "pop" album if I were to have a new album in pop genre from Coldplay... they're still creative and deep as ever. I absolutely love pop when the songs have actual ideas and meaning to them as well as richness like MX. :) :D

Well' date=' the TFI theory has been debunked so they will not be appearing on that show next week. That decreases the likelihood of getting a new single during the week, but good things are coming our way in the coming weeks. My logic is more that sometime in the next month, all will be revealed.[/quote']

As for the TFI thing, you know, it's so depressing that most of the rumours that have been spread turn out to be false... that's why I have decided not to trust most this past month. It's sad Coldplay will not be appearing on that show... it sounded so much like it would be them. "One of the biggest bands in the world" is definetely Coldplay... or maybe, as in this case, it wouldn't be.

Also, "good things are coming our way" :D  nice one!:D

Whoever wrote this does a poor job of fact checking' date=' because this was taken from a fake Tumblr 'source' who said the single would be out in mid-August, and gave us 'tidbits' like this for a few weeks.[/quote']

That's just so stupid... I still don't get why that dummy did that. He got everyone excited over nothing and he knew it when he probably thought it'd be out in late October. Like seriously, that's not cool.

p.s what a big surprise it would be if we got 2 singles before the full release of the album ;)

That'd be amazing!!! :D

When we take a closer look to the new artwork we can clearly recognize 6 flowers with 6 different colors(light blue' date=' green, yellow, red, purple and darker blue). These can be connected with the previous 6 albums. Then in the center another seventh flower is formed using 1 petal from every of the previous flowers(colorful). This is a proof that the 7th album would be the conclusion of their work since the formation of the band.[/quote']

Hey... you're right! Great interpretation! :D

The lad's artistic minds haven't faded one bit yet I see... :D

I never thought of that before! That's actually REALLY creative!

It really seems like they've went back to their roots of making very simple album covers that can mean such a multitude of different things and include many different ideas in one. Carefully crafted artwork by Coldplay that really tells a great story in my opinion. Great job by them. I like seeing Coldplay in their highly artistic form, sneaking little hidden meanings that give great hints to what their album ahead will be like. :)

If you disregard the flower imagery from your head for a minute and look at it closely' date=' you can also see the petals form a crossroads sign, signalling a crossroad in their career? Am I the only one seeing this?[/quote']

^^This is why, in my opinion, this is my favorite phase of pre-album release. There's the band, and we all know it's the band that's giving out these hints. Then, we all turn our interpretation centers on, and when they're on, I mean they're ON. We get so many creative and insightful ideas for what the upcoming artwork is about, and we all speculate all sorts of different meanings that we certainly couldn't have thought of on our own. Great jub by both Coldplay and the fans -- they both have really insightful yet subtle ideas for album artwork meanings! We've certainly learned a lot from Coldplay about generating the most subtle ways to sneak in that one little hidden meaning you want into a piece of artwork... they've turmed us into masters at decoding their artwork :D

But really, I do agree with you a lot. I'm seeing this now too, now that you mentioned it... that'd actually be a really great idea if it were to be true! :D

No way. Releasing the single December 4 would mean over four weeks of teasing. That's a bit too much to keep the buzz going' date=' if you ask me.[/quote']

Hmm... so I do guess one new thing is confirmed about the single:

It's getting released before Dec 4 :D

Okay totally... you're right. I think he has discovered the secret of the album! If that is one of the parts of the album I really think Coldplay's taken it to another level in terms of artistry and creativity... hopefully @Fer42 is right! A job well done! It's interesting, because if Coldplay really sneaked that into their design that is a whole nother level of creativity and thought present in their artwork that we, nor the world, have seen in anyone's artwork ever before IMO. It's really just beyond words. But we have to give credit to @Fer42 as well. He/she's linking this seemingly mysterious piece of artwork to something that totally makes sense but is just so subtle that most people would just pass it by without ever thinking about it, even the most diehard fans. This one is on a whole nother level. I think Coldplay has really trained his/her interpretation skills in preperation for this (and probably did the same with all of us). :D

I dont think anythings gonna happen tomorrow. Or anytime. My glass isnt half full nor half empty. Its simply empty, and whatever happens will fill it so i cant lose no matter what

You see nothing in your glass, but I see heaven in mine. ;) You're scared of losing all the time... ;) But whether it be tomorrow, Friday, or a month from now, I'm confident that something's happening pretty soon. Just be patient and don't worry. :D

fuck...7 is the new 42 innit?

I may be a proponent of quality over quantity, but the album better not have 7 tracks simply because of this new #7 obsession.

I still think that there is some non-Indian, Judeo-Christian influenced #7 symbolism going on as well. The 7th album is a "completion," and in the creation story of the book of Genesis the 7th day symbolizes completion. The number 7 shows up many other times across the bible as well, usually symbolizing the same thing...

I may be a proponent of quality over quantity, but the album better not have 7 tracks simply because of this new #7 obsession.

Hey, what if they were 7 long songs? That would be awesome in my opinion. Although Amazing Day isn't long at all, lol.

With the double tracks like Viva?

I'm just really encouraged by this. Coldplay have always been unorthodox and deep and this still seems to be the case. The whole theme around GS seemed so generic and uninspired. But this is intense. Chris always has something nerdy to say about these album concepts :)

Yeah, maybe double tracks like Viva, or just seven minute songs...

We are so desperate that we start to create hypothesis that grow up because some minimal details. 7 means nothing to the new album.

Well, this is a absurd thing, but the "day" of the Sahasrara is Monday , maybe today, maybe.[ATTACH=CONFIG]32680[/ATTACH]

Yeah, maybe double tracks like Viva, or just seven minute songs...

Twould be amazing. But a sea-change from the 3-4 minute pop structure of GS that's for sure. Ever since Viva the songs have been noticeably shorter.

That Sahasrara concept seems really nice and it would be amazing if it had something to do with the album, since it clearly has some sort of connection.

I do not know if someone already posting this, the seven colors, the seven chakras.

Click image for larger version. Name: teaser.jpg Views: 0 Size: 35.1 KB ID: 32677

I thought the left symbol was representing all of their work before LP1.

So the 7th chakra could be related to LP7 AHFOD.

And I have placed the symbols of the 6 albums on the new sign:

The colours of the symbols on the timeline are changing a little bit but I have placed the symbol on an matching colour.

This is showing me that all the albums are connected and that the inner "flower" represents LP7.

That's really nice. But what does this have to do with Kate Morton's new book ? All this off-topic, sigh.

@cp: Thanks for your reply, actually I live in a fairly large US East Coast city so I will definitely keep my eyes open even if sightings are currently only in capital cities, if I'm correct. :) (I'm talking about the Kate Morton poster of course, in case anyone was wondering.)
