January 5, 201610 yr The last Coldplay video I loved was ETIAW, so I didn't have much anticipation for this one. But damn! I absolutely love the video; the Violet Hill similarities are neat too. Birds is by far the best song on the album and I think it may end up being the best video too.
January 7, 201610 yr I definitely breathed a sigh of relief after watching it. I think it's one of their better music videos compared to what they've done in recent years but nothing special. Ghost Story still stands out for me as their best since Violet Hill.

They just have to make a song(s) like Ghost Story, Major Minus, Charlie Brown, Always In My Head in 1 album (I mean songs in more different directions) . The songs in A Head Full Of Dreams do not look like each other at all but some just have to be more in 'Coldplay rock'.. like Square One,Talk, Speed Of Sound etc.

January 9, 201610 yr My verdict on the video: + vintage camera feel, associations with hippies and flower power and summer and happiness, feels like floating - religious messages stuck right in front of your nose I think it was just part of that area they chose to shoot in...I assume they chose it because its very colourful and has a hopeful message :) I dont subscribe to any particular religion, but I certainly can relate to something as basic and universal as "God is love" so it doesn't bother me much :) Also the religious things were just there, Im sure they did not pick the place because of them. Kinda like if you were filming a video in Rio, you´d be bound to see the giant statue of Jesus cuz well its just part of the city. :)
