November 29, 200817 yr i was thinking the killers could come into being one of my favorite bands, by that i mean top eight. after this album i still feel they make a few INCREDIBLE SONGS, but that their albums are less than substantial.
November 29, 200817 yr "I got soul, but I'm not a soldier" - the refrain from The Killers 'All These Things That I've Done' - has been incorporated into live performances by Bono, Robbie Williams and Coldplay's Chris Martin. The line has attracted mockery from comedian Bill Bailey, who points out that it doesn't make much sense: "You might as well sing, 'I've got ham but I'm not a hamster' :laugh3::laugh3::laugh3:
December 1, 200817 yr Anyone have a "Joseph, Better You Than Me" download link? I'll still get it legally when the time comes, don't worry!
December 2, 200817 yr "Brandon has many phobias, including flying, mortality and the number 621. He goes to a weekly therapist session, and has the session played back to him on every plane journey he takes" LMAO Ahahahahaha that's funny. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this but, Brandon is hot in the Human music video. :D
December 2, 200817 yr Hot Fuss is one of my favorite albums ever, but sams town tried to be too different, day and age the same. Day and age has a feel of overdoing a late 80s synth band effect. It just comes off to me as brandon flowers trying to hard. I still love all the killers work, but why cant they just try to make the same band sound on at least 2 albums
December 7, 200817 yr the killers best song [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZzkyxct2Yw]YouTube - The Killers - Desperate.[/ame]
December 7, 200817 yr uummmm.....i know im not a mod...........but last time i checked there was already a Killers thread up and running. ............... and for the sake of not being a total kill joy. as awesome as Desperate is i still cant get over Mr Brightside which may sound a little cliche but its an awesome rock song.
December 8, 200817 yr 1. Desperate 2. Replaceable Are you just trying to be uber cool and indie by naming tracks they never actually released?
December 9, 200817 yr Oooh, yay! I get to be the horrible conformist who loves "Read My Mind" best! Seriously, I loved it before it was a radio-whored single.
December 9, 200817 yr i can honestly say i never heard that once on the radio then again the radio down here where i live sucks big time
December 9, 200817 yr I think D&A is actually quite good, albeit quite a departure from their typical sound (I don't think there's one guitar solo on the whole record). It took a while to grow on me, however.
December 9, 200817 yr Going to see them both Thursday and Friday night. Not too bad of a week, huh? :laugh4:
December 10, 200817 yr i really wish i liked day and age... but i really dont at all... aside from spaceman and kinda neon tiger.
December 10, 200817 yr Going to see them both Thursday and Friday night. Not too bad of a week, huh? :laugh4: I'm not envious....
December 11, 200817 yr i LOVE "Day & Age" ..ok..honestly..@ 1st.. i was like.. "umm..what?" but i grew on me..and now its one of my fave albums.... :) (other than "VLV & DAHF of course ;)
December 12, 200817 yr Hey, I just saw the "Human" video on VH1 (yeah, they DO show videos in the morning). The song is great. I've been living under a rock and my car's radio is broken, so that explains why I haven't heard it before. Oh, and Chris said he liked it. I can't believe the Killers are not coming to Florida at all. The closest is Atlanta, GA. I'm so upset, I really would like to see them in concert
December 12, 200817 yr Ahahahahaha that's funny. Maybe I'm the only one that thinks this but, Brandon is hot in the Human music video. :D Just saw the video for the first time (for explanation, see above post), and that was the first impression I got. He's fiiiiiiiiiiine  Oh, and that they were at the Grand Canyon, I think.
December 12, 200817 yr Hot Fuss is one of my favorite albums ever, but sams town tried to be too different, day and age the same. Day and age has a feel of overdoing a late 80s synth band effect. It just comes off to me as brandon flowers trying to hard. I still love all the killers work, but why cant they just try to make the same band sound on at least 2 albums Well while I loved Hot Fuss its important for any band not to simply repeat themselves on a second album. Problem with Sam's Town is they wanted to channel Springsteen (lyrical deepness and breakneck sincerity with cheesy songs. It came off as ridiculous and amateurish and just a bad move for this band in particular. There are a good 4 songs on that album but as far as I'm concerned its incredibly spotty. Now that the band is taking itself less seriously maybe I'll like the third album more. But from what I've heard their quality control is the same and its still a spotty listen. Human I liked until the bizarre chorus and Spaceman is good. I'll have to give the album a full listen soon.
