From Roadie #42's latest blog: Back on the main stage, the ending to is now similarly transformed, as the guys jam up a storm. Monday night saw Will exploding into life as the four of them played off each other, completely freeform. I couldn't tell if it was the anxiety of the first show, or the excitement of the response, but Will was utterly on fire at being let of the leash like this. It was truly a sight to behold. This is what I've been wanting Coldplay to do for ages!

I don't know about you guys but I'm tired of hearing Fix You, Yellow, Trouble, Clocks...et cetera. I just am tired of them...not because they are overplayed...ok maybe its because they're overplayed. But mainly they just seem so dead to me. I watched the Brixton (is that right?) performance the other night of Fix You and it looked so...dead. Like they don't have any soul into it. Thats the way it feels to me. I just want the new stuff no more old stuff.

one question. does anyone going or not going know if we're allowed to bring non professional, standard cameras?? this is my first coldplay concert so i want to know, and have it in record. sometimes different bands or places do it differently, and i really don't want to see everyone else snapping pictures while i stand there without my camera. PLUS, anyone just going can post and let me know! i'd love to see how many of you are gonna be there. :D

Ill tell you. I love coldplay. Just as much as anyone. But after watching some clips from their past couple free shows... im really just.. not impressed. chris's moves are just... well.... gay.... and at some points im just wishing he would be sitting infront of his piano rocking out.. instead of his gay dance moves during the climax of fix you! i think he needs to sit down and stay away from all the jumping around hes been doing.. keep it in small quantities... like last tour .. during white shadows... well i dunno... i just find myself a bit dissapointed from what iv seen.. anyone else feel this way.. or am i just expecting way too much out of them

I remember reading in a rollingstone article that was posted on their site about Coldplays live show. They did an interview with chris and he mentioned they had some new tricks up their sleeves. One of them I remember them saying audience participation. With only a few warm up shows I dont really remember them doing anything that had the audience participate other than sing a longs. But you do that at every concert im sure. So im kind of wondering if they didnt show all their new tricks yet on the first couple warm up shows. I guess only time will tell when the official tour kicks off in LA. Anyone else think they have a few more new tricks to show off when the tour kicks …

Have they EVER played it live? Probably Coldplay's most brilliant song IMO, and you never hear anything about it.

Do you think the band will be adding more dates to their US tour? I live in North Carolina and was surprised that they haven't listed Charlotte on their US leg of the tour. Anyone have any thoughts/insight? Thanks! -Janel

Hey. I'm travelling to Vegas next week from England on holiday, and I'm going to the Coldplay show at the MGM Grand. Does anyone know the support? I heard Santogold was, but she starts the day after (7/20) so i'm not too sure. Only interested so I can get to hear some stuff of theirs. Thanks x

Now, I'm not trying to pull the band's [Coldplay] card, or anything but, I just would like to enlighten most on, where their concert set designer's, "inspiration" probably came from for their MSG show with those circular, color changing, and video effecting objects otherwise known to most as "Magic Balls". Believe it or not, this element was first seen in the early spring of 2008 (April 16th to be exact) in Seattle, WA by none other than KANYE WEST. Kicking off his critically acclaimed "Glow in the Dark" Tour, was an experience most [fans] revisited over and over due to the stage dynamics, complementary to the special arrangement of his hit songs, into a story-line…

I've seen videos of the MSG concert and it seems like the magic balls could get in the way of seeing the stage. Please clear this up for me.:D

Sorry for the new thread. Any one have a good quality taping of the show? My grandfather taped it and as grateful as I am for what I have--he missed the last hour. His VCR's time was off an hour (from the time change and he never changed it) so I am missing an hour. I'd love to have the entire show. Preferably on DVD...is that even possible? I am technology impaired. I'll pay someone for a copy and for postage.
