(I don't really want to start a thread this early... I was planning to do this on my 1000th post -Nick's awesome idea-, but then again I couldn't help sharing with you this amazing experience I feel whenever...) I woke up at around 12:20 in the afternoon this Saturday and since I think I'll be having a bad day (I'm supposed to wake up at 9:00 and shoot my cousin for her birthday party invitation), I played Coldplay Live at the BBC and the moment I heard it (Life in Technicolour), my heart just melted and I cried. Yes. I cried. Sobs and all. I got sad with the thought that there is a big possibility that I MAY NEVER WATCH COLDPLAY LIVE IN MY LIFETIME. :shocked2: I kn…

So what's the deal? I have the whole Toronto 06 show on my iPod (Google video). I just never understood, who recorded the whole concert in such high quality, put credits, edited it, and then never released it? Why won't they make it a DVD? We all want it, it'll make them more money...does anyone know the truth behind this concert?

  4. Started by bittersweetriley,

Have there been any concert bootlegs posted for the VLV tour? I've been searching the forum and haven't found any. Can someone possibly point me in the right direction?

i don't know how many of you love it! but i just like it very much the beauty of the lyrics, the song and music is so perfect. i want to see it live,i think if they ever play it if i am there at the concert i'll go speechless and also i can't just have the sense of this world for a minute when they're playing it. if they played cemeteries of london then i wish they've to play this song too. atleast when i go to see them at Philly in US.

  6. Competition: http://www.absoluteradio.co.uk/music/artists/coldplay/article/3455.html Coldplay are one of the biggest bands in the world right now, so we thought that we should give you one of the biggest Coldplay prizes in the world! This is a money-can't-buy Coldplay experience. On the 26 September, we'll be flying a listener and a friend from a secret location in the UK to Munich... with Coldplay. Yes, with the band themselves! When you get to Munich you'll be given an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour to see what goes on backstage, have a bit of dinner while you're there, then you'll have the chance to sit in on their sound-check before the show. I'm a huge Coldplay fan like everyone else around here but it is baffling me why they haven't scheduled a show in Portland or Seattle on their current tour. Is there something wrong with the Northwest that they don't want to come here? I used to live in Phoenix and it's driving me nuts that they will have played 2 shows there in the last year and the closest one to me has been in the Bay Area of California. I'd appreciate it if anyone has any info as to why they've neglected us in the Northwest US. COLDPLAY NEEDS TO COME TO PORTLAND!!

  13. In comparing all the videos of the American Coldplay concerts,to the european Coldplay concerts,it just seems that the european crowds are so much more into it.It's very noticeable that the Europeans went crazy I even noticed that when Coldplay were in the states over the summer, many people gave their reviews and had some sort of complaints. Most of the reviews from Europe were glowing. It just bothers me

  14. I'm missing the live updates and it makes me sad :( I still have 2 more months til my first concert of this tour, which makes me more sad  So I declare this thread a reminscences thread. For those of you who have been on tour in 2008, I want to know your best bits, see your most favourite photo, or your favourite video. Just to keep me going until Ottawa pops up :D

I thought of something earlier, and thought I'd research travel times. I was curious as to how long it takes to get between venues in the US. The times are from google maps, and are just average, but that some pretty serious driving. 21-Oct-2008 cleveland, ohio to east rutherford (7h 30 mins) 27-OCt-2008 East Rutherford to Boston (3h 56mins) 29-oct-2008 Boston to Washington (7h 45 mins) 31-oct-2008 washington to philadelphia (2h 39mins) 1-nov-2008 philadelphia to detroit (9h 38 mins) 3-nov-2008 detroit to atlanta (11h 17 mins) 5-nov-2008 atlanta to orlando (6h 46mins) 7-nov-2008 orlando to ft lauderdale (3h 23 mins) 9-nov-2008 ft lau…

What time has the band been hitting the stage for an 8:00 show? I'm trying to anticipate how much lead time I have to get to the Izod Center shows. (Even though I live right nearby, I want to fit in a nice dinner between work and the show.)

  18. Hey everyone, I'm a big Oxfam supporter and a Coldplay fan. Just noticed that an online auction site called Charity Folks is auctioning off VIP tickets to each of the North American shows with the money going to Oxfam. Here is a direct link http://www.charityfolks.com/coldplay. :)

  19. So, I was listening to this radio station in LA, 98.7fm, and they are giving away tickets and a meet and greet with Coldplay, and I think also you get to watch soundcheck! If you have never been to a soundcheck before it's superfun because you get to see the band's personalities! All you have to do is sign up on the radio station's website! here is the link: http://www.987fm.com/pages/coldplay/

  21. Second or third song, right? It feels 'cold' to me when they play it so early. At least, it did when I saw the band twice in June, and I'd been hoping they'd fixed it by now. But I've (obviously!!) been reading the reviews of every gig, and just now had a PM from a friend here who saw them just a few nights ago and said the very same thing... I really don't think this magnificent song should be one used to warm up the crowd. For a start, it doesn't do that at all. It seems just to keep them lukewarm (if that) after LiT - till the temperature rises later. I think it's not one to get people going and set their hearts on fire so early on, but would be a great crowdp…

Does anyone know off the top of their sweet-little-coldplaying heads what television program it was that Chris sings that sort of beautiful, longer intro to Yellow. Repeating: Your skiiiiin.....Your skiiiiin, Ooooooaoooaoooh. etc I tried searching google for; Munich, television, yellow etc. but I must be wrong on what program it was. Anybody?

I really hope that Coldplay are not going Milli Vanilli on us!!!!!!!:o:o I have just downloaded from Coldplay Bootlegs the Bologna Concert and I was reading the notes included in with the download and the taper said that there was too many backing tapes used!!!! I am totally shocked that our lads use backing tapes!!!!!! Why dont they employ session musicians for their tours like other bands do?? It works for bands like Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks(their percussionist Taku Hirano rocks and kicks some mean ass!!), Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Prince, etc.!!?? Now I am disillusioned!!:cry::cry:
