I know that this is not the right spot, but no one seems to answer to my question anywhere ... :( My question is... When the band gets back in Europe, say, in September 2009... Are there gonna be new dates? Is there a possibility for them to come to some countries of southern/central Europe, for example Serbia, Hungary,Croatia,Bulgaria...? I went to their concert in September,in Hungary and I wanna see them again :( So...please , anyone, asap? So i can go to sleep lol...

So based on what the Rolling Stone article clarified, apparently the band (or simply Chris lol) want to put out another album with Eno next year. You would have thought that with all the tracks they have released already (what is it? six new ones including lhuna) that they might have difficulty with a full new album. Maybe this is also why the Roadie blog highlighted Chris writing new material during a break. Do you guys think they're simply being outwardly ambitious and that the material won't materialize until after 2009 or that there's actually a good chance this will happen?

First post, be gentle, I'm trying to make it interesting! I came across a post today on a music blog called The Pop Cop... it basically suggests that Coldplay ripped off a Scottish band called Grace Emilys for the riff in Life in Technicolor. Anyway, you can hear the two songs side by side. I think it's quite uncanny!

http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSTRE4A901Z20081110 MONACO (Reuters) - British band Coldplay was crowned the world's top-selling act of 2008 at the World Music Awards (WMAs) in Monaco. Their latest album "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends," released mid-year, topped charts in the United States, Britain, Japan, Germany, France and elsewhere. Sales apparently benefited from Coldplay's marketing strategy, including giving away the first single free over the Internet for a week and staging a series of free concerts before embarking on an international tour. The band was also named the WMA's rock act of the year at an awards ceremony, althou…

Sorry if this is old news! I didn't see it on the PM review thread or anything, so I thought I'd post... Anyway, weirdest review ever, I think. Lost+ is the only song worth downloading? What the hell? Coldplay Prospekt's March EP RS: 2.5 of 5 Stars Average User Rating: 4.5 of 5 Stars 2008 This EP collects recordings from the sessions for Viva la Vida, Coldplay's most sonically tricked-out record, but the new songs feel too conservative after Viva's world-music-laden sprawl. Though "Rainy Day" finds Chris Martin crooning brightly over strings and swelling electronics, the swooning "Glass of Water" feels heavy-handed, and the atmospheric "Prospekt'…

Why in the hell is everybody and their ex-girlfriend so entranced by Chris Martin? Is it his average good looks? His vanilla-flavored voice and songwriting? His flagrant narcissism? Why has our culture power-lifted the man and his borderline crappy band to Lou Reed of Soft Rock Piano Ballads-status? And why does it prove that our culture is steadily slushing shallower and shallower? Since breaking onto the international music scene with the release of the average song “Yellow” at the turn of the century, Coldplay have proven an incredible talent for producing songs which feature leading man Martin singing a drab falsetto, and videos which feature him walking, mos…

I did a quick search and didn't see this posted anywhere. As some of you may have heard, there is a lot of speculation that Jay-Z is coming back from retirement to release a new album. Kanye West, the Neptunes and Timbaland have all indirectly admitted to having worked with the legend over the past few months. Other producers on the album are said to be Scott Storch and Dr. Dre. The album is speculated to be called: "Presidential Gala" "Presidential" or "Kingdom Come". Now here's the crazy news: rumour has it that Chris Martin has produced one of the tracks on Jay's new album! I'm very skepitcal of this, however, we do know that Chris is a big Jay-Z fan, and has t…

Connie knocks Coldplay off US No 1 Songbird Connie Talbot has claimed her latest triumph by knocking British supergroup Coldplay from the top of the US charts – and she hasn’t even heard of them. Fresh from appearances on a series of top talk shows in America, the eight-year-old’s version of Three Little Birds has sent the rock giants tumbling to number seven in the Billboard Hot Singles charts. But the success has clearly not gone to the head of the youngster from Streetly, Walsall. Speaking to the Express & Star, the Blackwood Prim-ary School pupil appeared more interested in her favourite children’s TV character Tracy Beaker than multi-award winning Cold…

Coldplay's frontman has rediscovered his passion - he may even be enjoying himself. He talks about coming to terms with celebrity, and being just a little bit ‘gangsta' Two hours before showtime in Denver, a crack team of feng shui masters have been working around the clock to make Coldplay's “family area” a haven of zen security. Or that's how it seems. Low pastel lights, fine wines and wooden bowls with artfully scattered fruit adorn the place. If it weren't all being dismantled and recreated for tomorrow's show in Salt Lake City, you would want to stay here forever. Amid the impeccable serenity, Coldplay's “other three” - guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berrym…
