In a random thread someone compared coldplay to muse and said Coldplay is way better when it comes to live concerts. I really like Matador (Spoon, Sonic Youth, Pavement, Yo La Tengo etc), JagJaguwar (Bon Iver, Volcano Choir and others), Hyperdub (responsible for Burial's first release. OMG) and Flying Nun, a label which is extremely important to New Zealand Music. Apologies if there is a thread already like this. I did a brief search.

Boring question but next week is Thanksgiving. I'll no doubt be stuck doing the dishes with the sporadic help of others who drift in and out, and I'm left with piles of pots and pans to dry while relatives and siblings drink wine by the fire and set up board games. Now, my plan is to make them stay and help out the whole time without me directly telling them to. Or, me remaining in a good mood despite if it's only me left in the kitchen with a mountain of plates. Anyway, what is a good playlist to do the dishes to that is not offensive,(young and old milling in the house), something upbeat, peppy, fresh, maybe seasonal and something that would make others be nice …

What does everyone think of these guys? They're incredibly catchy, and I think that if Kings of Leon teamed up with Jason Mraz they would sound like Cage the Elephant. Apparently the lead singer is 15.... not sure if I believe that but that's what I've heard. Anyway, it's good stuff, highly recommended! ;)
