All of their songs have a lot of meaning to me.But the most important song for me is The Scientist. It best described how things were going in my life at a certain time. The Scientist had just come out around that time and it seemed like that perfect song for me.It helped me out a lot.

My Mom passed last summer and my sister took it hard and Fix You fit right into trying, well, to Fix Her.

At the moment of my current situation I would have to say it is "where is my boy" and "your love means everything" and "X&Y" I usually can relate everything to those three songs and I wonder how they managed to get it so true.

I tried, but still can't pick one.

So, I'm gonna say that The Scientist, Swallowed in the Sea, Lovers in Japan, Life in Technicolor, Yellow and The Hardest Part do mean the most to me. ;)

The lyrics remind me of how I spent two years pining over my best friend, whom I loved but didn't love me back and just thought of me as a friend. I actually listened to a lot of Amsterdam those days, which is weird now because I wasn't even really a Coldplay fan back then. I just had a few random tracks on my computer. Shiver, too, though, and now I see why, because the lyrics describe word for word how I felt at the time.

I'm pretty much over it now, but it took a long time.

This.

So you know how much I need you

But you never even see me, do you?

And is this my final chance of getting you

And on and on

From the moment I wake, to the moment I sleep

I'll be there by your side; just you try and stop me

I'll be waiting in line, just to see if you care

No, I didn't stalk the guy. ;) But I was always there for him, all the time, just hoping one day he'd change his mind and say he wanted to be more than friends after all. A lesson for all you young ones--you can't make someone love you! Don't wait around forever for someone who doesn't return your feelings! :\

awwwwww Nova I'm happry that you managed to get over it..........**hugs**

Clocks, sounds pathetic, but that song means the world to me. It helped me through so many hard times. I don't listen to it that much anymore because it causes such a rush of emotion, I feel like crying and smiling at the same time ... it's impossible to describe that feeling. It's almost the same with Fix You.

"The Scientist", "Clocks" n "Talk"....

these mean alot to me....

First two aren't Coldplay songs btw, the Faultline album they are one is really nice though, you should listen to it sometime :)

I'm going to have to go with "We Never Change" as being the most meaningful for me. Although it's not exactly positive or hopeful, I could relate to it's message of loneliness/depression as an angsty teenager. In fact, as an angsty teenager, Coldplay was probably my best friend.

The Scientist.

Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me

Oh and I rush to the start

...

Nobody said it was easy

It's such a shame for us to part

Because it reminds me of my friend who lost his life in a freak accident.

The Scientist

Now My Feet Won't Touch The Ground

Warning Sign

Fix you

Swallowed In The Sea

Till Kingdom Come

Because I lost someone very close, and some lyrics remind me of painful moments, and give me hope at the same time.

Yellow means alot to me. It being my favorite song ever with a special meaning. My parents call it "my song". I just get a shiver when i hear that acoustic start playing. Lovers in Japan just makes me think of being young (still am...only 18). It makes me think of running and going and never stopping, and being cascaded upon by millions of butterflies.

Strawberry swing makes me wanna put my windows down and smile like a 4 year old.

Fix You makes me cry, but it's a good cry. Gravity makes me sigh and gives me chills from the opening word of 'Baby'. and when i play it on the piano, i walk away afterwards and just think for the longest time. Viva La Vida makes me think of my mom because everytime i get in her car with her and turn on the sterio, the cd player is on and track number 7 on VLV is playing. She walks around the house singing it. I crack up. But of course she also adores my Coldplay poster of the boys hanging above my bed.

Anyways..... i think there is probably something in every single coldplay song that has a meaning to me. it would take too long to write it all :)

The Scientist, Prospekt's March and Talk (both versions)

Clocks, sounds pathetic, but that song means the world to me. It helped me through so many hard times. Ekmi I know exactly what you're talking about.........FIX YOU does the same thing to me evey time. I know I'm gonna cry for sure when I hear it at the live performance ......I'll be smiling because I'm happy to be there by crying because the one person that was suppose to be there beside me wont be...........

It's the Coldplay-feeling, it's totally worth taking all the crap from the haters.

For me the special songs are:

The Scientist

Tell me you love me, come back and haunt me

Oh and I'll rush to the start

Running in circles, chasing our tails

Coming back as we are.

Nobody said it was easy

It's such a shame for us to part

I'm going back to the start.

Everything's Not Lost

Hoping everything's not lost

Warning Sign

Well the truth is I miss you so..

See You Soon

You lost your trust

Don't lose your trust..

Square One

You just want

Somebody listening to what you say

It doesn't matter who you are

Is there anybody out there who

Is lost and hurt and lonely too

Are they bleeding all your colours into one?

and if you come undone

As if you've been run through

Some catapult it fired you

You wonder if your chance will ever come

Or if you're stuck in square one

Strawberry Swing <-- just because it's spring atm, it makes me feel really good :)

Life in Technicolor ii gave some really special meanings to me.

Several other songs that did the same include:

Shiver (gave me a sort of overpowering feeling)

Clocks, The Scientist, and God Put a Smile Upon Your Face (They all gave me really good feelings)

Square One, What if, White Shadows, Fix You, Talk, and Speed of Sound (All of them had similar concepts that went to me)

All of Viva La Vida (No joke. Every song had a special great meaning to me)

The Hardest Part - Describes perfectly what Im going through right now. I know there is a decision I need to make, but I cant make it. The Hardest Part is letting go, not taking part.

The Scientist - Most beautiful song ever. Means so much, I think about my mom with this one. All the regrets I have there.

Trouble - Sums up the end of my relationships perfectly. I never meant to cause anyone trouble, but I did.

Lovers In Japan - My favorite pick me up song. Reminds me love is still out there and to not give up.

Life in Technicolor - To this day one of the few Coldplay songs to give me chills. When I heard the opening notes live, I screamed my balls off! Easily one of their best ever. In my opinion their Streets, the song they will be remembered by.

And almost every other Coldplay song.

It's the Coldplay-feeling, it's totally worth taking all the crap from the haters.

Truest thing I've read around here in a while! :)

I forgot from my original post, that one line from Green Eyes also means a lot to me: Because I came here with a load, and it feels so much lighter since I met you :nice:

It's the Coldplay-feeling, it's totally worth taking all the crap from the haters.

That's so true!

/The Scientist and Fix You:heart:.

Don't think I'll ever hear something as brilliant as those two songs.

There's a few - Yellow, Warning Sign, Green Eyes and Low... All just remind me of various periods in my past. :(

I was just discussing this with a friend last night. Fix You, probably. It's kind of cliché, but it's true.

Gravity . Wonderful song.
