For some reason i think this will be a great track, the title makes me think it will be a beautifull and strong track.

He also uploaded Magic (+ 2 other songs) and that doesn't sound anything like the instrumental that's available in the Multimedia section so my guess is that he made them himself.

Oceans is another calmer one. Will uses his drum kit to make some sort of ship’s horn sound for 3 or 4 notes that builds the base for the melody. The atmosphere definitely live’s up to the song’s name

Yeah, really fake (and badly played by himself, if you ask me).

It's hard to remember the exact melodies from last night and sometimes piano covers can completely change the way a song sounds.

 

That said, I can say with 99.9% confidence...fakeity fake fake fake.

Honestly, I wish they'd tip their hat to their first huge hit and have Chris running down the beach awkwardly staring at the camera and singing his heart out. That would make Oceans truly epic.

It depends if O will have a hidden track or not, but there are a few songs on AROBTTH and X&Y that are longer than Oceans.

I'm hoping O is actually that long, and then we'll get a part 2 and reprise of O as well! It'll be like Pink Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" which had parts as well.

Assuming this pic that Coldplay tweeted not long ago is from the music video to Oceans, we can now put the picture together with the song now we've heard it for the first time :D. It looks good just from seeing this!

I'm posting this in every thread that has to do with Oceans or the live lounge but it's soooooo good! The Coldplay I fell in love with :heart:

So anyone notice how, when they played Oceans, it was around 3:16.

The track on iTunes says it's 5:21. Maybe this means there's a hidden track in Oceans, as well??

If anyone trying to make the link between the lyrics and the song title? I guess when he puts emphasis on "alone in this world" he is referring to how massive and empty the Ocean is. Kind of like a metaphor, but a Coldplay metaphor :)

I am missing the climax in the songs. Guess I will get used to it.

So far this is definitely a break up album. But this is the closest thing to parachutes that I've heard in a long time. I like this a lot.
