If I recall correctly, they've opened a show of any length with Charlie Brown only twice (both were its first 2 performances).

 

If I got to choose, though, Politik would open. It's more likely that it'll just be Paradise or ASFOS.

Personally I would think that more is not always better, since I'd love to hear the full album for the first time, and most of it's songs as well. I also think someone said this before a few pages ago. However I'd like to at least see one new performance from them tonight. :)

I wonder what they're gonna open with... and I have a feeling it might be a new song. I doubt they would open with Always in my Head now... but who knows! What do you guys think?

 

That's a really difficult question because every song I think they could open with, I immediately say, "nah they probably won't open with that...." But, if I had to choose, I would say ASFOS because that's their most recent hit and the song that spans so many genres that most people will know it.....not like most people wouldn't know Paradise or VLV, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say....

Two songs will be nice but anything more will annoy me a little. Like a few others have said, I want to hear most of the album for the first time on the day that it drops. Otherwise it will feel like knowing what a birthday gift is before receiving it.

I really hope that they don't announce the album. I just hope it drops and surprises like everyone in the universe. And then it wins 100 Grammys.

I too really wanted a new single this week, but at the same time I'm glad they didn't release anything before the festival. If they had released a single earlier this week or today even, then we would know that we would hear that tonight. Although it would still be exciting to hear it live for the first time, I think it's more exciting that we are going into tonight having no clue what to expect or what a new song will sound like. Literally, we don't know anything. Aside from the obvious hits they will play, we know nothing. What are they going to wear? What will the stage set up look like? How will the instruments look? There are so many questions that will be answered in just 2 hours. Also Coldplay haven't said a damn thing, which I also think makes it even better. They want to surprise us, and I think it's going to be awesome.

I completely agree with you. Now I see why Coldplay haven't released anything. They knew it'd be more exciting if they waited until the festival. They want to surprise everyone.
