If this tracklist is legitimate then I am loving the unique song titles, but as most people have said i'm calling bull.

 

In relation to the single release, i'm really hoping it's this Friday, because i'm starting to think that December 4 might be the single release instead of the album release.

I know Beyonce just dropped her self titled album out of nowhere and there was no time for promotion or hype, which worked well and had a great message behind it.. But think about it, it's a month today until December 4, there's been no news of pre-orders for the album which is usually well over a month.

Either the 4th is the single release, or Coldplay are doing a bit of a Beyonce and going, hey, here's an album. Enjoy.

But because we're Coldplay... we have to get a bit cryptic and tease :P

Really hoping that 4th december is the album date but what TomRiver upthere said makes sense.... about the pre-orders and etc. Still hoping for the single this week though.. cos what would be the point of teasing us this week if there is nothing to come about now?? About the nice closer.. yeah kind of.. but I want a closer like death and all of his friends... wooow that closer was something. Best closer of cold till date. Something powerfull.

If I could just say one thing, and apologies if it has already been said a number of times...

It is really, really nice that we're so close to another album just a year since the last release. Rather than our usual 3 year wait.

The only reason is cause GS was more like a Chris's feeling PROJECT not even album. I just think of them on a break since 2012 really. I mean it's still nice to have a shorter wait though. But I hope quality is excellent, even though the wait is shorter. But i'm pretty sure theyve been working on this album since 2013 and that they have been working really hard especially since 2015 started.

Hmm I think the new artwork is really interesting, but from a mere aesthetic standpoint it's too childish and colourful for me. I would have liked the sleek black background better.

 

However it gives me hope that the album will be more experimental than GS and maybe less mainstream-oriented. If we're lucky we'll maybe even get some psychedelic rock (although I think with Stargate on board the chances are low).

Well at least no one knows yet that the music video for Burnt Caramel incolves a scene where Jonny takes acid and dances on London underground stations.

If I were Sparky I would immediately block some people that come to this forum just to troll or bother everybody's else patience.

I predict that Amazing Day will in fact be the album closer.

When they premiered AIMH, they opened with it and it's the GS opener. They closed Global Citizen with Amazing Day when they premiered it.

The song has a strong ending. Perfect to wrap things up. Chris would want to end the album on an optimistic and emotional song like this.
