Real or not, I am really liking this... those would be some of my favorite track titles ever, and I like the good mix of shorter and longer songs. I can definitely see the album having more "A (blank) full of (blank)" tracks, and a title with "star" in it is kind of a given! ;)

Ok, I just don't like Amazing Day as an opener or closer. It's got similar production/sound as Always In My Head, which was a horrible opener to me. Neither are bad songs but they're sorta sleepy down-tempo songs.

You either go all out like Death And All His Friends or you go the complete other way and do the ...Amsterdam/really sweet and minimalist close. But Amazing Day is in the middle. Just...no.

And to the above poster- you can't copyright a song title. It's art. Legally, art... it can be anything.

IF we are getting a single this week, the announcement HAS to be TOMORROW (or in roughly 12 hours from now) due to timezones. All music comes out on a Friday now, and they wouldn't just announce it on Friday UK time as they would miss the other timezones. Very certain we will see the album announcement and first single drop (on Youtube) tomorrow.

Dude, this is gold. :laugh3:

I'm starting to think Coldplay did release that tracklisting just to see how we would react to Amazing Day being the closer. No, Chrissy poo. No.

We made it guys...exactly one month away from a new album! :drinking: Now, is anyone considering skipping out on listening to the first single and just waiting it out since we're so close? hah

If I tried that, I might be able to last an hour without giving in to the temptation and listening. :D

If anyone manages to hold out on the temptation of listening to the single before the album in its entirety, you deserve a nobel prize in human brain advancement.

I was considering this, but it's SOO hard!

Huh? People think every new slow song is the album closer, and they definitely have had the tracklist finalized for a while now.

I figure one or two songs isn't bad, but I don't want to hear anymore than that. At this point we have a live version of Amazing Day and hopefully a new single. So if that's all we hear before the album then I will be very pleased. Really we will have only heard one studio track. That will be a first for a while. With MX and Ghost Stories, they played half, if not more of the album before it's release. I want to save as much of it as possible.

Short off topic:

Any chances Midnight gonna survive the setlist?

I know with that laser stuff and its unique part in Coldplays catalogue its not very likely. But I would be so happy if it would still be in :gs:

It's just hard for me to see that occurring though. Look at the amount of tracks we've heard from MX and GS- you're talking 4 ...before each one was released, right?

That's just how just about all artists do it since it gives them more control of how the music is released- than all the songs leaking beforehand.

I wish too. But for some reason...I seriously doubt it because of the vox effect. But...I would sooooo prefer that live than ASFOS, which is what I'm guessing will become the most played song from that era. I hope they at least do Magic...then any other song from GS- would be great with me.

My weird second choice is Anothers Arms. I know not many do like it, but it has an very haunting live atmosphere, including Jonnys guitar riff :guitarist:

It would be awesome but as you said it's not likely.

Honestly, I think it's your rock-based oldplayers that have a problem with songs like that. I love Another's Arms and I've played that song for so many people in my car with the bass just...knocking..and many people, who don't like anything Coldplay has ever done...has been like "WHo is this??" Haha. That's just damn fine song. And love the build up at the end.

Actually Amazing Day always sounded to me like album opener or closer. And that title 'In My Arms'.... remember Iheart Radio performance of a Sky full of stars, where Chris sang:

'All I wanted is right here in my arms

'All I wanted, right here in my arms'.

Might be true, might not.

Kylie Minogue already has a song called In My Arms, so I wouldn't be too certain Coldplay would use this title.

And those lines are from a Depeche Mode song, I believe.

So 4pm UK time again or later.

My guess is the new single drops after 4pm this afternoon or tracklist.

I think they're will be text with this one regardless.

I feel that they would continue with the GIF's till Thursday atleast.

Friday, we may get the new single.

Releasing the tracklist before releasing the first single would be dumb.
