I've still not gotten through once. The worst was for the U2 show I was once caller 19. My heart broke on the spot. Also, it's likely KROQ will be doing some giveaways where you have to be the first person to the location, so keep an eye out on their instagram accounts.

 

I hope I win a social media contest today, because listening to KROQ for this long is torturous.

 

I didn't get through at all either after trying all day, but will keep on trying these next 4 days. I did have success with U2 at the Roxy, being close a couple of times with being #18 and I think #15, then getting through as #20 at the start of the second week.

 

What I don't understand is where are all the seats for this show going? This theater supposedly has a capacity of 2,500 making it about the same size as the Wiltern and bigger than the Orpheum, yet KROQ seems to be only giving away around 20 tickets or so per day. I understand that Tidal is giving some away and there will be a guest list, but it's hard to see how many of the seats will be distributed. At least with U2 at the Roxy it made sense as it holds around 450 and KROQ gave them away for 1 1/2 weeks. With the amounts that KROQ is giving away, you would think this show would be in a small club.

From the Tidal contest where you need to submit your playlist, they are giving away 125 pairs. KROQ is giving away at least 140 pairs. Tidal has some other random contests too. But yeah, what about the other 1000+ tickets...

First, so incredibly jealous you were at the Roxy show. 11 O'Clock Tick Tock. Sigh.

 

Second, it's a mystery. It may be worth it to just go to the venue and see what happens if we don't win. I've gotten into other shows that way.

oh man I DON'T KNOW D: I would have to avoid an entire month of reading most of the threads here because everybody will be talking about the new stuff °__° I really dont wanna listen to the new songs because I want to hear the CD version first.

Someone brought it up before, this is the perfect era to wait. Usually, we wait months for the album to come out. But with this one, its less than a month away.

i like your determination. good luck! i'm torn too. i don't want to miss out on the fun of listening to a song together in the forum for the first time, but on the other hand it can spoil the album as a whole for you.

Same thing happened for their ACE Hotel show during GS tour, turned out there was a massive guest list of band friends and industry people. Been trying all weekend and will continue to try all week, got caller 18 yesterday.

On KROQ this morning, Chris said they would be playing 4 new songs, and the set would be 12 songs. Too short imo, but I'm still doing everything I possibly can to win these!
