Would be so awesome if they released those!

A few weeks ago I asked the composer if he thinks there's any chance of a release, and he said he would look into it.

I wouldn't know because my #ButterflyPackage still hasn't arrived. [emoji2955][emoji52][emoji853]

Shipped exactly 1 week ago.

The tracking number that Livenation gave me doesn't work.

Question for European fans who ordered the Butterflypackage in the Live Nation Coldplay Fanfire:

Was your package shipped from the UK? Or the US maybe?

Asking because I'm trying to figure out if it is being held hostage by customs. [emoji52]

There was a notification in my mailbox today that there is a package for me to pick up at the post office.

Is either the Butterfly package or something from my Secret Santa. [emoji4]

My curiosity will have to wait until tomorrow.

Very short review/story of my experience with the CD first.

So, Dec 7th also happens to be when Super Smash Brothers Ultimate came out and to be honest, i was more excited about that. A week later, and i finally found 2 hours to listen to the CD and I finished not 5 mins ago. A few notes in random order:

-nice to have The Scientist finally on a live album, although I prefer the one from Live 2012. IIRC, it wasn't officially on the CD, but I just ripped it off the DVD bonus feature. It's my go to live version of the song

-GPASUYF was amazing and takes me back to the crowd interaction during my concert experience

-Clocks seemed to be the lip-synced version :/

-I never really got the hype around Charlie Brown, but seeing/hearing it live is awesome

-almost the same with Hymn For The Weekend.

-did not enjoy the two spanish songs, did nothing for me, but maybe because im not spanish and didn't understand them. Relatedly, I wish I knew what he was saying when he was speaking spanish to the crowd.

-In My Place by Will was a nice touch. Hope he's not reading this and embarrassed or something, but his voice is too high for my liking for this song. They played In My Place for the Toronto show I was at and Chris was doing it there, so maybe I just wanted it to be the same? I also think he does better as a backup vocalist to Chris's lead vocals. No disrespect to Will, thats my role in band as well, to play an instrument and give backup vocals, and I don't do as well being the main guy.

-A few tracks (particularly early on) seemed at a faster tempo?

I saw the documentary already, but looking forward to the DVD perhaps this weekend!

I remember there are some reprises in the film. Is there any way we can extract them?
Maybe. Stephen was able to do that with The Race and Vitamins so maybe he could do it with those? If I knew how, I'd be more than happy to do it!

I actually asked the composer on Twitter if there was any chance for a release of the soundtrack and he said he'd look into it. I doubt we will see it, but it would be awesome!

I’ve just figured out the end scene of the bonus content!

So they were talking of whether they should do a deluxe version in July 2017 in Malibu.

Kaleidoscope EP was also released in July 2017.

In 2014, the band released a deluxe version of Ghost Stories with songs from the A Sky Full Of Stars EP

The Viva la Vida album also had an extended version including songs from Prospekt’s March EP.

Soooooo, I’m wondering if they were thinking about releasing a deluxe version of A Head Full of Dreams with the Kaleidoscope EP songs included. Obviously this hasn’t happened so they didn’t proceed with this idea.

So it’s not anything to do with the Butterfly Package or LP8 unfortunately.

That'd be awesome. I'd bet that there are some (maybe not in their perspectives) brilliant songs of which they decided not to put on the album nor on Kaleidoscope sadly. In the meantime, there's been a lot of time in between their last release (K-EP on July 7th in 2017?) and if they would release some songs now.

I think they might have thought that it's not worth the effort to release some B-sides or a few bonus songs that might not even do very well in the radio charts. But if they will release something, I would be looking forward to hear some new (old) AHFOD stuff!

I don't think so, honestly. If it was 2017, we already knew pretty early on in the year how Kaleidoscope EP was going to be released and how many songs were on it. Wasn't it even November 2016 that Chris mentioned the EP at London Palladium? And they even mentioned it would be 5 tracks and they were almost done with it in early 2017 in an interview.

It really sounds like they are talking about some future album, especially when Chris says something like "Did we make one deluxe album or a standard slightly worse one". Also, Chris at the very end makes it sound like they are discussing something that would happen in the distant future/us viewers wouldn't know about until the distant future.

My first bet would be they were talking about the live album CD/DVD combo (that they had been discussing during the tour and released over a year after that meeting).

If it's not that, my second bet would be it's some project we don't know about that they were in the very early stages of talking about. Especially since it appears to be placed at the very end of a bonus segment of the documentary to make us curious.
