The Beatles have topped the Nielsen Soundscan Albums of the Decade chart – and are the only British act to feature in the top 50. Based on sales from the period of January 2000 to November 29 2009 in the US, 1, the greatest hits compilation by the band, released in 2000, accrued sales of 11,515,000. The EMI release beat artists such as N*Sync, Norah Jones and Eminem - who has three releases within the top 50 – to the top spot. So when I saw Coldplay in May for their Viva la Vida tour, the last song the pre-concert track played was the Blue Danube (look it up if you don't know it... you'll recognize it). I think that was by FAR the best song they could have chosen to start playing immediately after it ended. It was basically "daaaa da da DAAAAA da da daaa da daaaa da dun dadadun!" then right into the viva la vida background. Amazing. Anyone else have this experience?

I've been telling people that it means a sunset or a sundown, or when the sky is pink-peach or orangy color. But i'm not sure what it really means.. or did they just make it up?

Done it? Yet? I KNOW IT"S HARD! Now. If you DIDN'T choose Clocks, you are stupid. Now, Coldplay has many great songs. Life in Technicolour, the Scientist, Swallowed in the Sea plus many more. BUT, when you think about the legacy each song has left, HOW many songs will be there to remember. Just one. 'Clocks' by Coldplay.
