A couple months ago, wasn't there a Coldplay Viva La Vida Army Cap on the U.S. shopping site? Where is it. And can someone please give me a link to where I can find one similar if you can't find the Coldplay one?

I am sure all of you guys have heard the stories about Coldplay wanting to take a break after their world tour thus it means that they won't probably have a new album out in 2009. I actually do not mind. The last two years must probably been hectic (though I am sure fun) for them so I understand completley that they would want slow down for a little while. Why I think Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends was so good (and in my opinion their best album) was they took some time to experiment and try new things out (South American tour/visits) and of course Brian Eno. I am afraid that if they release a new album this year, it will be very similar to VLV (though I am s…

I have a version of Green Eyes where there is no piano in it (well, if there is its not very noticeable) I found an instrumental version of Green Eyes and it sounds EXACTLY like it BUT after the 2nd verse there is piano. 1:37- [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrL-cdb4PgY]YouTube - Coldplay - Green Eyes (Instrumental)[/ame] Does the official release of green eyes have piano in it and did I just get a bad version?

I thought in wake of this new article, I should make a thread for people to post if they think they are a "Coldplay Superfan". If you think you are, give evidence as to why that is!

Hi, I'm a proud owner of both Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends and Prospekt's March EP. When I bought the definitive version of the album I hoped to find one single CD with all the songs from both D&AHF and P'sMEP, but it wasn't so. I find frustrating to change the CD while I'm listening to them, so I'd like to make one single CD by myself, but I can't really decided in what order I should put the songs together. For example: I'd put as the first song "Life in Technicolor II", leaving out the first "LiT", but then? Should it be followed by "Cemeteries of London" or by "Postcards from Far Away"? And then, again? Since I'm not really good at making playli…

As I sat down this morning eating my toast and a nice cup of tea I listened to the radio. Life In technicolor ii was on which brought me back to Prospekts March which then brought me back to Viva La vida which then brought me back to the process in which viva la vida was made. Lets think... Coldplay keep in touch with their fans. e.g the oracle, Roadie 42 and Anchorman. They gave away Violet Hill, Death will never conqour me for free. The released an EP of songs that we wanted to hear so badly which we new thanks to the updates from Prospekt aka Phil Harvey didn't make the album. Now Im sure other bands don't go to the efforts of coldplay and coldplays management to keep …

so, i've asked the oracle literally 5 times, & i still get no answer. a couple months ago i was on the church of chris martin & i read an interpretation of clocks & it stated that william willett, the man who invented the concept of daylight savings time, is chris's great great grandfather. i searched it & it's true! he got the idea of setting the "clocks" an hour ahead to decrease energy costs during the summer. what a genius! no wonder chris is so smart it's in his genes! the interpretation was basically saying that clocks is about william willett's discovery & the fact that no one listened to him. "lights go out & i can't be saved, tides that …

I thought coldplay would be impossible to cover especially after seeing Avril Lavigne butcher "The Scientist". Recently I have found an impossibly brilliant cover artist named Valerio Carboni. He listens to the song and makes his own arrangement on the piano. Just take a few minutes to listen to these songs, this guy deserves a lot of respect. Rewind is my favorite of his cover pieces. Recent interview with Robert Downey Jr. : Also revealing details regarding the movie’s music, Downey says, “ Chris Martin music perhaps? We are hoping Chris Martin of Coldplay will contribute to our score. He’s a huge Sherlock Holmes fan…He told me you need to be really skinny which is always the last thing you want to hear.” There is a video on this site. He talks about Chris at around 3:15 http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/33812227.html#cutid1

Chris Martin of Coldplay heard Naturally 7 on UK radio recently and was so impressed by their harmonies and their vocal replication of instrumental sounds, he flew home from Germany to catch their London show. He took producer Brian Eno and pal Natalie Imbruglia with him. "We'd heard he was coming, but you never know," Naturally 7 singer Rod Eldridge says. "Sure enough he's hanging over this upper balcony with Natalie and Brian. It was pretty surprising." Martin came backstage with his posse to invite Naturally 7 to record with Coldplay; he's a man of action -- the next day they joined the chart-topping band, Eno and Imbruglia in a London studio. "We just jammed and…

I was really considering getting a Coldplay tat especially after this week. I would either get "Life is For Living" which is the motto that i've stuck to for much of my life and meaning don't let things bring you down, because life is too short to not live. Or I would get "The Scientist" because on friday my girlfriend and I were perfect then saturday, she found a text on my phone and I couldnt explain and she needed a reason. So that song is identical to what i was just put through. What do you think?
