  1. Started by the_gloaming09,

I really like this coldplay song a lot and it's fun to play. So I figured I'd post it here and see what you guys think [ame= ] [/ame] I screw up a little bit at the end with the piano line.

So my new band is trying to choose names. Our influences are mainly Coldplay, Muse, and that general type of music. We were using vinyl fantasy (our drummer :P), but decided that won't sell. What about these names: -Gee Whiz -Cpt. Crunch and the Cereal Killers (again, our drummer) -The Entropy that's all we got :/

Couldn't really find anything of the sort. Does anyone have any? I'm planning to make a tab of sorts for Yellow because it's not too hard..I'm not actually a drummer but I generally know my way around a kit. I would like to request, from the more talented and committed.... -Lovers in Japan -Life in Technicolor ii -Strawberry Swing Thank you to anyone who can help/contribute. :)

  4. Started by Shedal,

Hi guys! :) I liked the new christmas single so much that I decided to make a piano cover. I learned it by ear, had to spend several evenings for that... I got even more determined to make a cover after I listened to the existing ones on the YouTube... I find those overly straightforward, and also not very accurate. I hope you'll like my version better :) P.S. I mounted the camera on the top, so that anyone who wants to learn this song would see the keyboard and understand what I'm playing. Hey, I was wondering if anybody can help me with this? I'm relatively new to guitar (~ 8 months), and I can't work out the fingerpicking to Christmas Lights? I'm pretty sure I've got the chords nailed, as found here: http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/c/coldplay/christmas_lights_ver2_crd.htm but I'm really struggling to get the fingerpicking right, as found here: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfSycBrXkP8]YouTube - Coldplay - Christmas Lights (Cover)[/ame] And on all the YouTube Christmas Lights covers. If anybody can help me regarding what strings to pick, or if anybody knowns where a tab is, I would be very grateful. Thanks!

Okay, I know it's not even officially out yet. As soon as it is, though, could someone help me with the chords? It's been such a long time since I did it myself, I can barely hear the chord changes anymore, haha. Thank you! :nice:

Hi people! Quick question about Shiver/Don't Panic ... Does Johnny use delay at all in these songs? I know he has a Boss DD-3 hooked up in his pedalboard. I have seen some people playing the phaser lead parts in Don't Panic but never found out how this worked for them. I know the temp beats per minute for the song is about 120bpm (i.e 2 beats per second) but if anyone is entering in a specific delay in milliseconds that works for them I'd like to know how this works for you. I use delay on the riff in Yellow and it sounds tasty! I enter 85 bpm into the metronome, tap the delay tempo to it and away I go, it's worth a try, it really helps with the intro and with…

Hey all. Here's a question (another i know). I'm gonna get an epiphone dot es335 in natural, but I want the casino bridge (as opposed to the tune o-matic). Firstly because i think it looks better and second i don't really like the tune o-matic. So, how would I go about replacing it? Or would i just buy a casino bridge and send it to my local guitar repair store?

  17. Hey guys! I'm probably about 6 months off finishing an instrumental EP/Album. I could actually compile a 6 track EP including the song below, as I have 5 other songs which are fairly up to scratch in terms of production and mixing, but I find myself constantly going back to tweak them every now and again... basically, I find it difficult to truly finish a song :P. I also have a habit of trying to remake older songs (some of which I posted here a few years ago) with shinier new production, but this actually takes me even longer than starting a new song from scratch. So for the few people here who have taken an interest in some of my music, I AM slowly getting somewhere,…
