We recently learned that Princess of China will be officially released as a single on April 15. What's interesting is that Charlie Brown, although heavily marketed as the third single, numerous Promotional singles over the months, and even officially claimed to have been released on February 3 (even though no releases, even promotional, had occurred that day), there has been no official release, nor official news of a Charlie Brown single. ...that I was in school with a friend, and there's this guy with a mask on. I assumed it was Will Champion, and he agreed, then took the mask off and it was some other guy who I can't put a name to. I think it's about childhood or being a kid/adolescent or something like that. With the whole Chris's voice sped up and "all the boys, all the girls", and the fact that the song is called "Charlie Brown". That's my take on it.

Now that we have the video, and the site has said it's "the next single", do you think Charlie Brown will have a propper release, digital with B-sides, physical or it will be just the video and promo on the radios (like Lovers In Japan and Strawberry Swing)?

Firstly the original video is to fast - 1-2 sec per cut and all shots are to close (very close to close-medium - why no wider ? and a little longer ?). The story... ehhh. there is no story in it. He stoles the car. She already knows him. They know where they meet. Go to show. Kiss on the couch. Paint the car. Fire a flare. Boring! I never thought this would happen again, but Coldplay have ran into the same ditch they ran into roughly over 3 years ago. A paradox, one I like to call the "Lost/Lovers paradox". To all those who saw Charlie Brown played on the live stream, what are you thoughts? Personally I think this is the best of the new songs that they have played so far. Fantastic guitar and it stays varied throughout.

This is a version of Charlie Brown I made. It's the same as the Mylo Xyloto version except it's more like the live version during the Light a Fire part and it has extra percussion during "All the boys..." I've heard a lot of people talking about how Charlie Brown is very Arcade Fire-ish. People on TEHYOUTUBES are saying things like, "Oh Coldplay has done it again. Now they're copying Arcade Fire." I haven't really heard that much of Arcade Fire to see this so, do you guys see what these hooligans are talking about? What is a song by Arcade Fire where you can hear elements that are similar to CB? I'm just curious, not trying to start anything about CP stealing. I just like to see what bands inspire other bands.
