Yes, but so far the AHFOD Tour has only had stars, birds, small squares and ribbons - butterflies were used in the Viva Tour though (probably also in the MX Tour ?)

Miracles (from UNBROKEN) was playing in the background in the supermarket today. When I started focusing on the song I thought "This could easily be a Coldplay song", thinking it was a random pop song by another artist. Then the chorus came in louder and I realised it was the actual song!

I was shopping for frames to put in my AHFOD posters and 1 for Coldplay concert memorabilia and ASFOS was played in the store. [emoji4]

I also bought a chair that has the name "Martin". [emoji16]

I was at London a couple weeks ago (what a beautiful city!) and I was at Muse's gig. I think Coldplay should do a similar gig/gigs, BECAUSE;

The gig was at a small venue (O2 Shepherd's Bush London, where also Coldplay has played; gigs at small venues are always very unique!), all the proceeds went to charity, and the best part; fans (ticket holders to be precise) got to vote for 10 songs of (almost) all Muse songs, even b-sides, songs never played live or for a long time. As most of the tickets got sold to the fanclub members, all the songs that made to top 10 were really rare, and they even took some other songs from the results below top 10. (if anyone is a Muse fan and wants to see the setlist; https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/muse/2017/o2-shepherds-bush-empire-london-england-7be55664.html )

Imagine if Coldplay would do gigs at small venues and let fans vote for the setlist? A "request/rarities" mini tour? That would be amazing!! The results would be really good when us fans would combine our forces and vote collectively. (Yeah, Coldplay has had the c-stage "requests" but they are acoustic and the choices have become quite repetitive)

I thought exactly the same when I saw this! It would be amazing if Coldplay could do something like that. Attending to this kind of shows must be incredible, you're really lucky! Muse is one of my favourite bands, I'd wish I could also see them live someday...

BTW, we should create a thread to talk about this hypothetical Coldplay setlist, don't you think?

Yeah, I was really lucky to get tickets and to be able to attend the show. I really wish too you will be able to see them one day live, they are awesome live!

Yes, that sounds like a great idea! I will create one :) (there is already "Your Coldplay Dream Setlist" thread https://coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/your-coldplay-dream-setlist.55909/page-13#post-5889324 but creating a new one would be great, as this is a different idea)

edit. The thread is up; https://coldplaying.com/forum/index.php?threads/what-would-you-vote-if-coldplay-did-a-request-show.110292/

I just heard this particular version of Your World Turns Upside Down for the first time, a recording from Mexico City in 2003. Listen to it, it has a completely different melody in the verses than the one we are used to, and different lyrics (something with perfect symmetry and an apple tree :joy:)

I never knew such a version existed. I think I prefer it to the 'standard' version of the song.

A L I E N S goes surprisingly well after White Shadows

I never listened to that combination so far but I have to say I'm not surprised. When it came out I thought A L I E N S would both thematically and soundscape-wise fit best into the X&Y Era. Perhaps one of the reasons why I like it so much

There is quite a few typos in this tracklist of an unofficial Coldplay compilation I saw on Discogs today, but Nr. 7 is arguably the best :joy:

On a related note, has anyone noticed the recent massive crackdown on bootlegs from Discogs ? Almost all bootleg listings have been removed and sale has been permanently banned from the website. As someone who occasionally collects bootlegs as well, I think that's a pity. And probably not a smart move from Discogs, it makes the website much less interesting for many collectors now.

http://www.chron.com/entertainment/article/Song-Coldplay-writes-about-Houston-during-12177456.php

Kind of lol'd at this article. Not because it poked fun at coldplay and the hurricane, but that the publisher is from Houston, a place that was just devastated by Harvey (not to mention the fact that it was unnecessary). Weird that the author still poked fun at this topic despite having gone through a hurricane. Pretty ungrateful imo.

The closest I can relate to is the butterflies (well some kind of confetti, I am guessing which are butterflies), in the lovers in japan music video. The look so awesome even in that :P Although I still think I have some confetti from the AHFOD concert somewhere in my room lol.
