Honestly, how can anybody hate the Hype Williams video?

 

It's beautiful with the album artwork covering the air. Well done to its director.

 

 

But I agree, the Anton Corbijn spoof is genious.

I don't get the hate either, yeah it's not groundbreaking, but do all videos have to be groundbreaking? The colours are gorgeous, I love the artwork in the background and it shows them as a band. I love the end where you see all four of them standing there and Chris is the last one they show.

 

The being said the Anton one is amazing, but I can appreciate them both.

I didn't get it first when the guy said he was wearin a king suit and hat, chris probably took it off for the photo to keep it a suprise because it would immediatly had given away the depeche mode cover.

 

as for the people in the street? where they aware of beeing filmed? did they copy past chris in later on? and if they were aware how come nobody called me!?!

 

so after reading your respones i wanna say that it suits the anton video, that chris is walking alone, that's what the song is about and in the end he overcomes his problems so to say and that's when the rest comes in, it's brilliant! After all in the scientist and Yellow none of the other band members appear at all.

 

I love the Hype video too except I hate the rose petals thing haha unlike all of you I think it's so so... celine dion... Plus it eats Guys face first! Idiots

 

and now that i think about it... Guy looks a little high while ooohing, he's just having too much fun!

It's not bad, they could do it better but it's ok.And Corbijn got nice idea, but only on the paper, when he filmed it he didn't got harmony with song, he didn't fell song in the right mood, that's all, but the idea is very good, just do not match.But, in all this world of mtv GRANDE videos, with hyper, super production this way of filming video is great and follows a path where european art film is going.

Both look rushed. Not impressed by either, to be honest.

First is boring, looks like they chucked something else on the green screen of the Apple commercial.

 

Second one is funny and overall better I think :).

First one was abit boring, though did like the end when they all 'broke up' and chris's eyes!!!! Wow, he has nice eyes!!! The second vid, will have to watch again, but from the first watch, it was pointless, bit boring again, not no where near as good as 'violet hill'.
