^^yeah from the virtual map I was looking at, everything looks the same except for sections 1-3---they combined that whole section together.

Ok so does anyone know, if I am standing on the walkway in back of section8, does anyone know if the numbers of the seats, start #1 from the left or the right? I know, what a pain in the ass:)

#1 is on the outside edge, #41 or so, is next to section 9.

thanks jane, I just clicked on the live nation map and went to the opposite side to sec. 10, they had 1 ticket there in row K so I figured it out, LOL, sometimes I just need a minute or 2, LOL.

Does anybody know anything about the general admision pit? I called Livenation earlier today and they said that it was "sold out"... I didn't believe that representative, there were not even sections 1-7 in the presale nor in the public sale.

Another thing is that the pit is very small compared to stadium and indoor arenas' floor sections.

Any info about the general admission pit?

That's because there's not going to be Sections 1, 2 or 3, there's going to be a General Admission Pit, check out the Click and Pick seating map:

http://tickets.livenation.com/cgi-bin/tickets.html?fun=clear_promotion&id=EC2_NO_SESSION&doc=detailb&key=597$1609&affiliate=EC2&promo_id=0

There's something in the works here, we don't know everything about this yet, like how the Pit tickets will be distributed, or did the first however many people who thought they were getting lawn, actually got the Pit?

Was there a Pit the last time they played here?

I clicked the link, and yes, the map show a GA pit on the orchestra sections (1,2, &3). There's two possibilities:

(a) Live Nation put up the wrong seating chart

(b) There will be a GA pit

I dunno, why would they have a GA pit and don't have tickets available now?

I mean, should fans like us be notified about it?

I would have preferred a GA pit, even if I had to queque for hours before the concert. If that was the case, I would want my money back

For last question: yes, there was a GA pit last time they played here.

BUT, I still really, really, really doubt there will be one.

^^dfit00, from the virtual map, sections 1-3 were combined to make up the general admission pit. as for sections 4-7, i'm not sure about that. but i'm guessing the reason why these sections were "sold out" is probably because they're being reserved for fan upgrades in the nosebleed/lawn sections.

OK i'm on that side too, i guess, just not as close, haha

it's probably being reserved for upgrades again. like last year when people couldn't purchase the first five rows.

Were are you? Section 10?

I got an idea for a poster: "Sisters sitting apart. Blame presale" with a sad face

#1 is on the outside edge, #41 or so, is next to section 9.
So I'm sitting almost on the outside edge of Section 7 :dozey:

Well, those tickets are also being auctioned by those dang scalpers

A seat like the one I got is being sold for $400-$600 on those websites :veryangry2:

gahh, i wish  row B of section 17. i tried today to get anything from sect. 7-10, but unfortunately nothing. hoping something good will come out of this, though. :)

but yeah, that poster idea is fantastic! maybe livenation reps will see it at the concert and consider refiguring the whole resale process, haha.

that's so frustrating! i heard about that and supposedly this was even before presale started. i really want to know how they managed that. maybe they're not legit?

anyway, i'm hoping that the only reason they're holding off these sections is for upgrades for the lawn/nosebleed fans. because if that were the case, i wouldn't be understanding as to why they never were put up for sale.

^^Actually, the Live Nation people would be pissed that I kinda outsmart them :smug:

My sis and I are not that far apart, we both have seat #5, but one is on Row H and the other is on Row K. Still sucks a bit though.

^I'm sure some fans will get upgrades. Just try to be there early ;)

There's a thread callled "2009 North American presale???" where a member made several posts about how the process is rigged and why. He says he used to work with Ticketmaster, doing auditing, and his arguments are convincing (still hard to swallow at times)

^^haha well at least you were able to outsmart them and you and your sister are in section 8. take that, livenation :smug:

yeah, i'm not surprised the process is rigged. totally not fair, though, to the most dedicated fans who are screwed over when trying to get the best possible seats.

^What pissed me off is that NO seats were offered on this section 7 (nor in 4,5, or 6, all of which are tier after the orchestra sections) during the presale.

It's sickening  that Live Nation barely (if at all) offer seats on these sections except if you searched for a single ticket :computer:

Yeah, it's the cold reality of an unfair ticketsale system :disappointed:

For my part, I'm gonna keep bumping this thread, and champion the cause of having most of us meeting early at the Ford Amph.

Even if you don't have the best tickets, we can still have tons of fun before the concert:

  • Meet other Coldplayers :gossip:
  • Make posters with messages that only the band and us understand (example: Phil is HOT) :deal2:
  • Dress in Viva La Vida inspired outfits, or at least one thing (i.e. militia jacket, hat, "42" t-shirts, buttlerflies) :flutterby:
  • Wait for the band to arrive to the venue like we're boy-band fans  :laugh3:
  • Hang out at the Hard Rock Hotel :indianchief: (a seminole!)
  • Have yellow glowsticks :sunny:

I'm in section 8 row K also... see some of you are also in that area. I will try closer to show date and they seem to release good tickets at last minute. I got a really good RH ticket day of show and sold my other one at the gates.

I am still really skeptical that there is going to be a general admision pit. I can see that StubHub, TicketsNow, and RazorGator are selling tickets on sections 1-4 for over $700 and the quantity is very small. :inquisitive:

I also found out other websites selling tickets for a supposed "General Admission Pit" and each ticket is priced at $570.

As far as I can see it, Livenation is completely LYING in that the orchestra sections and lowel level seats are sold out... :veryangry2: They may be very limited, and the majority of the tickets could have been given to roadies, promoters, etc. But they are NOT sold out!

But once again, keep an eye on Livenation, they may sell the orchestra sections during odd times like 3am... :\

StubHub, TicketsNow and RazorGator aren't selling anything, they are all basically bulletin boards similar to Ebay (except that you don't have to interact directly with the other party), individuals are posting these, anyone can say that they have tickets. The few tickets that you are seeing for sections 1-3 are probably season ticket holders who assume they will have Coldplay tickets in their usual seats, but will probably be told later that they can have Pit tickets or other seats.

Live Nation is the original ticket seller for this concert, I'm going by their seating chart with the Pit.

Yeah that could be a possibility, let see what happens.

I heard the band keeps at least 50 tickets to pass out by the roadies for their concerts too.

I am emailing live nation, this was really shitty, and doesn't it seem to be happening at all the concerts so far?

The other shows that I have seen with a Pit have been openly selling the Pit tickets at the highest price level, $97.50 or so, so I think Tampa is unique in that it isn't even an option on the Live Nation ticketing page.

Boy ya'll have some pissed off fans regarding most of the Coldplay concerts that are going on thru your site. I belong to COLDPLAYING.COM and at 10am going thru you, there were absolutely NO TICKETS available in 1,2,3, or now your calling it Gen seating. 4,5,6,7, had no tickets either. Fans were online and the best seats anyone received after trying most of the morning were in sec.8 or 9,10. What the hell is going on? Why do you have a presale? I ended up getting sec.8 row J and these are better than most of the fans on the site. I am not happy paying 260.00 plus bucks to be so far away. I am an avid concert goer and am not pleased what so ever with how you handled this. I am sure the Band would Love to know (especially Martin) that their concert tickets for the hardcore Fans are being handled this way. One of the Roadies that work for Coldplay WILL be informed about this Tampa concert and the NON ACCESS to Fans who are buying for other States, which this problem is happening in other States as well. We can see the problems people are having at ALL Coldplay concerts. Coldplay is all about catering to the Fans (hardcore) and we have been shafted We hope you can "FIX YOU" and your unfair site.

Well said! I hope you receive a reply from them.

When I hear from them I will post what they say, but I have a feeling it will be a type of form letter, they don't care now, they have our money. I am excited anyway's, I just wanted to cause some "Trouble".

Extra Pair - Section 13, Row C

I ended up doing a little better in the general sale - section 8 - so I have an extra pair for sale. The pair is in section 13, row C. Tickets are face value plus all of the ridiculous LN fees. Send PM if interested in these tickets.
