I got a news flash for you all. Tomorrow in the general sale this same shit will happen. Dallas only sold back sections in the presale AND the general sale. No front section seats were sold AT ALL! I hope you are viewing this today Phil, because it sucks the cock!

Last time I didn't even try for pre-sale and I got way better tickets just going to ticketmaster on the day of the official sale.

I think I'm gonna try this... It can't be worse

Well if anything I'd rather pay 37 dollars for freaking lawn rather than paying 97 for section 15!

I'm so freaking angry right now

^^i'm honestly thinking that might be a better option.

maybe all the front sections are being held off for upgrades? just a question, was anyone able to get floor seats/best sections at the arena shows last year without problems? or was it the same situation as now?

i got 2 for section 13 in tampa...i hope i didn't just get worked?? good luck today and tomorrow....not a fan of LiveNation...!!

I was able to comfortably get level 1 seats when I went to buy them at a ticketmaster location last year.

yeah that presale was total garbage. first thing that came up for sec. 13 row G..then i kept trying and sec. 13 row B came up...so i bought those. i'm going to also try tomorrow and then sell the others if i get better.

what is annoying is that if you go on stubhub, there are selling first and second sections at $600 a ticket. how did they get those seats if they haven't even gone on sale yet?

I think I'm gonna try this... It can't be worse

Agreed. My friend and I just let ours go, and we said the same thing: It can't be worse.

We thought the pre-sale would give us an advantage, but all we got was section 14! We tried both pre-sales until we just said forget it, tomorrow we'll probably get something around the same location.

The thing that bothers me is that I know there are three price ranges; the most expensive being about $97, which ends up to be about $130 when you add all the extra crap charges. Now, I wouldn't mind paying $130, or even $150+ if I knew I was going to get truly good seats. The seats that should cost $130 are the ones that are up there, section 1, 2, 3, etc...But section 14 costs and is worth the same as section 1, according to LiveNation! That doesn't make any sense. They are two opposite friggin' vantage points. So technically according to LiveNation the only "cheap seats" worthy of a lower price are the ones on the lawn, and off to the side??? That's kind of bullshit, I'm sorry.

This LiveNation/Ticketmaster thing is really unfortunate. These people are taking part in blatant ripping-off, and no one is doing anything about it. I wonder if bands can choose to boycott this, and go another route, even if it's smaller. I doubt Coldplay has anything to do with this complete screwing over we're being subjected to. It was wrong before, but now it's even more disgraceful.

My rant is done! I hope everyone had some better success!

just looked it up...got worked...wow....how do you get better seats when you already drop 97 bucks per ticket? not cool

cassidy76, yeah, i'm wondering how they got those seats as well  yeah i think livenation/ticketmaster's main purpose is to screw fans over when buying tickets.

so will anyone try the ticketmaster route tomorrow as well? i fear the seats will be in the same area...sections 13 to 15...are in the middle...after general admission and before the lawn..saw radiohead last may there...and the seats were so so...

I'm annoyed because I though livenation was supposed to be better than ticketmaster but the times I've used ticketmaster I've always gotten better seats and had to pay less fees.

If I go to a ticketmaster location will I be able to buy them there tomorrow? Or is it exclusively online? I did that last time and I feel like you get better options directly through them.

I got section 14 row B, and I just bought them, but yea if I look tomorrow and find better ones, I'll buy those and sell the pre-sale tickets. I wish they would just do the pre-sale through their website like the Talk Tour a few years ago. I got 3rd row center on the floor that time! Screw this. Who the hell is going to get the 1st and 2nd level tickets if us...THE FANS can't even get those? Ridiculous.

oh no! the worst seats ever!! I didnt but them though. Does anybody know if there will be any bidding at all?

I got section 8 three times in the the basket. 2 times the order timed out (after about a minute) and the 3rd time I got to the verify screen and it encountered an error and i lost the tickets again!

Join the club! All the seats are CRAP!

CRAP!

Nothing lower than Row K for Sections 8 and 10.

Nothing in 4,5,6 or 7!

it just happened again. AArrgggghhh!

I was expecting the worse, but this is beyond terrible.

Crap, crap, and more crap

I looked up with 3 computers, and I would get the seats on the same sections over and over

AND I WAS LOOKING FOR A SINGLE TICKET!!!

I haven't bought anything. I'll tell my sister we are better off buying lawn

At least we won't spent as much.

After 40 mins of going back and forth between TR and radio, I finally got section8 row j.

thru the radio presale no doubt, I have the tampa venue stage, where the hell is section 8?

For the first 35 mins, I kept getting sections 13,14, 15 I said no way, I guess I lucked out with what I got.

^I think it's behind section 4

Yeah I just looked at the 3d vision of the stage and I guess I am pretty happy with them, I wish I was closer, but thats the way it goes.

You know what, you've got a point, because the back of section 14 is pretty much the front of the lawn. Only that walking area divides them. But the back of section 14 (which is kind of the front of the lawn) still costs waaaay more than a lawn seat. Someone tell me how that makes any sense?

I went to go see Eric Clapton there last year (don't laugh, I love him) and I was on the lawn. I managed to sneak up to the front for the encore, 'cos the pathways to get to your seat are pretty large, and no one really cares if you move because there's enough room.

It sucks, my friend and I are giant Coldplay fans, but LiveNation caters only to the people with connections who will throw down money for the VIP seats, and most likely think Coldplay is Chris Martin with some other dudes.

If we get the lawn, I'm guessing we're not going to be the only ones praying for ticket upgrades!

So where exactly are the majority of the good seats? I know Coldplay keeps some for the upgrades and the guests, but where can most of them be found?

My cousin told me once that he went to a concert, I don't remember who, and that on the day of he went to the box office to ask to see if they had tickets and they had practically front row seats available. It's not a safe bet, but it also doesn't sound that unlikely

Also I can't decide if I'd rather pay 130 dollars for section 14 row B or secition 8 row K

My sister wanted me to buy two seats together, but when I search for two together I get offered the back sections on Rows K and above.

I am still searching, and I still get offered the same seats.

I look for a single seat, and I get the same results

Ticket Rush ----> Section 10, either Row K or J

Radion presale ----> Section 8, either Row K or J

See the pattern....:dozey:
