Tash
As long as the most reliable source does not give the information.... then how wil we know? Just wait until something is announced on Coldplay.com or on a reliable, well-known music or news website?
BarbaMama
I really hope Atlas will be on LP6. Meanwhile, there are much more websites, saying Atlas will not be include on the new album. Sorry, I am am no expert knowing which one is reliable and well known or not. http://www.rttnews.com/2178870/coldplay-drops-new-track-atlas.aspx?type=ent&utm_source=google&utm_campaign=sitemap http://www.theupcoming.co.uk/2013/08/21/coldplay-to-release-new-song-atlas-next-week/ http://www.newenglandmusicnews.com/star-news/coldplay-release-new-song-atlas/
James.
I really hope Atlas will be on LP6. Why? Wouldn't you rather have 11 completely new songs on LP6 than 10 new songs + one we've already heard? And none of us have even heard Atlas yet, for all we know it could sound terrible :P

Atlas will not dissapoint us. I just know! :-)

BarbaMama
I understand what you are saying. I also would love to have it on CD. From the future? Sometimes I am, yes. Would you say you are from the past? :D

I just know! :-) No. Absolutely not. You don't just throw a song intended for a movie into an album. It would be like throwing Christmas Lights into MX. It makes no sense at all. Kingzilla
^^^^^^^^^^ Yeah, unless the album concept is about the hunger games or something like it, I wouldn't want it in the album.

It's likely that one vague website mentioned it and then loads of other websites like this just copy past it.
HurtsLikeHeaven42
Do you think the guys themselves or even someone does for them, reads things like these fan websites? So they can know what the fans want on the next album
Spider-Man
The band writes and produces music that they want to make. Its up to the fans to decide if they will like it. Which, most do.
pipp088
99,9 % Atlas won't be part of their forthcoming LP, they did the same in the past. Furthermore we know nothing regarding the new album, it would be impossible that we're going to listen to the 1st single out of this one.
vivacleve
well...Atlas is fucking perfect. "Carry Your World!!!!!!" Except the lyrics were a bit...eh. but i'd give it a 9.5/

Just like with Christmas Lights in 2010, it will not see the light of day on a Coldplay album.

It kicks enough ass on its own.
CP-EST
So, some have already heard Atlas now and those who haven't, will hear it very soon. Hearing Atlas is like a little rest stop during wait for LP6. Like most of you have already said Atlas sounds like a mix of all the different sounds Coldplay has ever produced. Even if some don't think, that Atlas as a song is really great, you should pay attention how masterful is the production side of that song. I listened to song 5 times trying to judge the production, I just can’t find any weak points. Tell me if you can? Thinking about, how Chris comes up with little piece with piano and then they produce something like that out of it, makes me really proud of the band. Of course, we are yet to see if Atlas was the hint of the sound of the next album, but I don’t see no reason why not. I think we should not compare it to Christmas Lights release. For me sound of Atlas seems too polished to be just one off thing and it must have influenced other songs they are creating at the moment. If they have produced something like Atlas now, they must know, that this is when they sound at their best. Now it’s really just up to Chris to write the best songs he can, because band with production like that can produce anything... One of the most important questions then is, who is leading their production this time, or do they think that they have learnt all they can during creating last albums and try how it works out by their own with the guys that have been there from the start (Dan Green and Rik Simpson)? It would be very interesting to hear some new interviews from the band members at the moment. And again, can anybody say it to Chris: „Just please write the best f***ing songs you can!“
Nature
I hope LP6 will have the sound of 'Atlas' but less repetition.
KKOPPI
I just love the repetition, it's relaxing. Also, I suspect LP6 to be more 'artistic' just like Viva and that's one thing I'm already starting to like about the album.
CP-EST
So it's official: Atlas was produced just by Coldplay with Daniel Green and Rik Simpson. :) No Eno, no Dravs or any other stranger this time, just Coldplay and their guys! I hope this is the case with whole new album. ;)
Prospector
So, either they haven't chose a new producer yet, or the new album will be produced by Dan and Rik, wich I think is almost like produced by Coldplay themselves because they are on this for so long they've almost become part of the band alredy. Tash
And Christmas Lights. For me that means nothing on LP6 But the keychain and the Atlas video are recent. So there's a good chance they will also use it for LP6.
